“Very very lightweight board.Too lightweight...no feeling of quality.Not sure what the main structure is made from but I was hoping for something much more substantial.The pieces themselves feel somewhat flimsy.Altogether a big disappointment”
“Fabulous! I was a bit worried after reading some recent reviews so had to check all pieces on arrival before rewrapping it, as it will be a gift. No problems found. I think the handmade nature of the set gives it lots of character. I think its lovely to be able to buy an item like this in this day and age but perhaps some people dont appreciate a hand crafted aesthetic.”
“Its a great chess set, however once you start playing the lack of 2 queens for promotion can be quite annoying, often find myself underpromoting to a rook just for easiness of play, quality is acceptale also but could be better”
“Overall, for the price its a good chess set, however, there are multiple minor flaws such as some pieces being chipped and also a noticeable misalignment with the two sides of the board once folded open. I would recommend the set for someone trying to buy their first beginner set, but other than that the quality isnt out of this world.”
