After binging the Queens Gambit my boyfriend really wanted to learn how to play chess so I ordered this as a surprise. It is a beautiful board and a great size! Have seen a few comments saying about prices being damaged but everything with mine arrived perfectly

Good craftsmanship and not a bad set by any standardsThe only point Id mention is that the pieces are extremely light, so it doesnt take much to knock them over, and I feel like I might break them just in my hands. That said, it does the job and is at a good price.

Disappointing. This set had so many great reviews. The pieces have little detail and are so light that they can get knocked over by a little girls long hair. The pieces are Im sure wood but dont feel like it. The board looks good but the edges arent finished off very smooth. The elastic holding the pieces in is a bit cheap and 4 of the pieces were rattling around in the box. If it had been for myself I would have returned it as it was my 6 year old granddaughters I couldnt take it off her. Did I just get a bad one??

My son is very happy with his new chess set, but doesnt understand why one knight is a different colour to all the other white pieces. It is also very frustrating that the white edging around the board doesnt line up. Its all Im ever going to see whilst playing! See photos.Generally a lovely chess set for the money spoilt by a couple of quality control issues.
