“An Amazing set, beautifully crafted chess board, comes with a soft bag to protect it, the parcel is nicely thought out and has an air of class about it with it wrapping, bows and box.. Very good value for money for the prestation, robust pieces. Brought for my husband for his birthday and he loves it.would recommend to anyone who loves chess and is thinking of giving it a present..My children 6 and 10 are loving playing with dad.”

“The sets for only 2 more look as if theyre better and more detailed than this one, I feel as if Ive been overcharged for a cheaper set didnt expect this with it being the Amazons Choice. On an optimistic point Im guessing these pieces are more environmentally friendly being made with wood from quick growing trees.”
“Dont get me wrong this is a perfectly usable and notunpleasant chess set.However the one little bugbear, which would irritate anyone with OCD, is that the two halves of the board dont exactly align see photo. Its only a few millimetres but its enough to bother me when Im playing. For the money, you could argue that you get what you pay for. But getting this minor detail right would not cost the manufacturer any more. So its the difference between a very happy purchase and a not unhappy purchase. Hence 4 stars out of 5.Other than that, the pieces are very highly varnished and a little slippery. Maybe with time a patina will develop and this will help.”
“The packaging and materials are great but the hinge makes the two sides of the board slightly offcenter from each other and makes the middle of the board raise slightly. Although this unit isnt worth returning, this issue is slightly annoying. Sometimes, hand made or hand assembled isnt the best option as machines are far more accurate at most things such as screwing on hinges. Otherwise I am very pleased with this high quality product because it feels very premium and the value for money is great.”
