“Disappointed. Wrapping beautiful but main board had dried varnish drips in a couple of places that spoiled it overall. Also one of the chess pieces was chipped in manufacture and varnished over. Overall production quality was disappointing so did not find product value for money.”
“This chess set is really nicely wrapped but I would hate to give it to someone as a gift.Four pieces had problems to stand straight two of them had small protrusions at center of the bases, in two others the fabric on the bases was wrinkled. I fixed this in 5 minutes, but it shows the lack of QA andor attitude to the product. The fabric inside the board was glued not very careful as well.At the end I decided to keep it, colors and the touch of the wooden board are very appealing.”
“This is a beautiful quality item. Decent size for actually playing. The pieces all have their own secure spots when it is packed so if your travelling with it or just putting it away the pieces arent rattling around and going to get chipped or damaged which is a great idea. I absolutely love the wrapping... technically unnecessary, but really made the item feel special, particularly the little card signed by the wrapper. Lovely touch! I bought this for myself, but it would make a lovely gift, its just so well presented.”
“Its a good value, handmade chess set. There are few little scratches and few finishing of bits that have stopped me giving it 5 stars. Perhaps QC needs a little more care. But then again it didnt cost 100!”
“Buy for me and my 6 year old son. I really like the style. So I chose a foldable one in the lower range but well 2 times more than anotherSo I am a little torn apart, the sun pieces are not stable certain 78 inches all alone with a petite souffleSo the price is not good quality.. DamageBut in the end it is a toy”
“Excellent value for money, even excluding sales. Solid wood top and parts, superb finishes and very refined packaging. I highly recommend ! For the seller just be careful about the translation in French Folding Chess and Checkers instead of Folding Chess and Drafts.”
