About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “An exceptionally well made product, practical and handsome, it has made jigsawing so much easier and less disruptive to the daily routine. Because it can safely and quickly store your puzzle exactly as you leave it, it is easy to clear the decks for other needs or other people in the house; and it takes no time to open it up and get under way again. It was well packed and very promptly delivered, and I would thoroughly recommend this Jacques Jigsaw Board.”

“Real quality product. Good not just for jigsaws but quick, temporary clearing aside of card games, board games, wargames, or other hobby "stuff" (as long as you have somewhere flat you can set it down). Very robust and well-made.”

“Whilst you can purchase other Jigsaw Boards with apparently the same functionality, look carefully at the design of the Jaques Board. The board allows maximum laydown space with the front splitting into two wings allowing maximum laydown with two loose boards to cover when closing the wings. Alternatively use the loose boards for separate layout. All with a no slip surface. Closing using the velcro flaps is easier and 'safer' for partially finished jigsaws and you get your kitchen/diningroom table back and it can be unobstusively stored ! Well thought out and constructed jigsaw board.”
