About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “I just received the Jigsaw Board and am currently part way through a jigsaw which would be difficult to get onto the board at the moment, but I know it will be very useful to just fold the covers over and store while not in use. I'm looking forward to using the board very soon.”

“This was a gift fdormy husmand. He was delighted as he has always used a piece of hardboard in the past which, of course, needed to be left on the table during the process of completing the puzzle. I was amazed at the speed with which the company dealt with my order and arranged the delivery. \ All aspects very much appreciated.”

“Good size & quality. Would be perfect if it had a handle on the side for ease of carrying as I want to take puzzle board with me on winter breaks. It does have a Velcro price that secures all folding bits that could be used as a handle to carry it flat but not ideal.”

“Good quality item. I was looking for something to sit on my knees as I have no room for a table. This was a tad bendy for that purpose so I added a piece of hardbound to the centre section. I can now sit in the middle of the couch with the wings folded underneath and a loose panel either side of me. I find it a little tight for holding 1000 pieces but it's doable. All in all a good solution for my situation. Would be very good on a table also. Very happy with it, and a decent price too.”

“Bought as a gift for elderly mum in a small flat who doesn’t have the table space for jigsaws. Sufficiently sturdy to sit in a smaller table top and love the fact you can pack a partially complete jigsaw away while keeping it intact. Which means mum can enjoy jigsaws once again. A well made quality product. Would highly recommend.”

“This is a really lovely puzzle board, I wanted something that wasn't a roll up mat and this fit the bill perfectly! I am certainly impressed with this board and it was delivered in a large box which prevented any damage. The board itself is lovely with a really nice soft felt surface on the inside and strong velcro on the outside. You can't really put the board vertical to store if you have loose pieces as they do tend to slip down but the rest of the puzzle otherwise stays together fairly well and no issues if storing the board horizontally (I just slide it under the sofa when I am finished). The one reason for removing a star is because of one of the smaller boards where the felt wasn't sewn in properly and has opened a large gap, revealing the cardboard, not exactly a big issue as I can probably try and fix this anyway but a small shame for something which was very pricey. Overall I absolutely love the puzzle board and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves puzzles and the addition of the two smaller boards is great for being able to sort puzzle pieces into separate colours!”
