About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “Its nice solid wood in good quality. But the benefit for my 1 year old is a bit poor. I was hoping for a nice toy to practice her fine motoric skills but this is useless. There is no whole for each animal and the figures nearly fit through every whole. It would be nicer with wheels so that she at least could pull it. My daughter likes the animals but the whole toy is not often used unfortunately.”

“Although beautifully painted and looks bright and really attractive for children the Noahs Ark arrived broken. The side of the lid was broken off and the side of the boat is coming away and will easily snap. Such a shame as I know my 2 year old would love it.”
