About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “I have always wanted to buy an Ark for my childminding children and I am so pleased I found this one. The quality of it is outstanding! Built to last and Its a lovely size, the animals etc are a great size too. I loved how well the Ark was packaged and the lovely little touches with the card and the paper inside a lovely box. I will definitely be buying from Jacques of London again and I highly recommend them.”

“The wooden toy came beautifully hand packaged with a ribbon around it! The ark itself is well made, colourful and perfect for my 1 year old! She loved the shape sorting the variety of animals that are included! Would thoroughly recommend as an alternative, more traditional vintage style gift! Much better than all the plastic stuff out there!”
