About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. Why not come along for the trip with us!

We bought this as a gift for our niece when she was 9 months old. It made a lovely gift and looked really high quality when opened. As our niece has aged and become able to actually sort the shapes weve been informed its become her favourite toy. Were now planning to get one for our new baby too

I am a little concerned that this is marketed for age 1 year upward yet it clearly states on the box not suitable for child under 36 months. Also, whilst the packaging is lovely it means I am unable to see the toy or check for damage before gifting as this would ruin the presentation. Feel I have no choice but to keep the toy for 2 years now until the child is 3 years old so in all I am rather disappointed.
