I love the Buff Orp from MPC. She's beautiful, sweet and docile, as expected for this breed. Steady layer of a nice size egg! Thanks MPC!

I love chickens and I highly reccomend mypetchicken.com I especially love the buffet orpington who is so sweet and who may be my first house chicken! I already made a cute little diaper for her. I looked at the diaper products mypetchicken.com has and it is the first successful pattern I have copied. Chickens are the cutest animals on earth and I am lucky to expirience them first hand all because of mypetchicken.com!

Our Buff Orpington has been hardy girl. She isn’t as friendly as our Maran or our Polish, but we still love her.

I got four beautiful Buff Orpington hens, and I do not regret! They were the most friendly of my flock! They loved to be held and were by far the hardiest of my hens. My last one just passed away, but she lived to be 7 years old, and hatched two of her own chicks at six. Buff Orpingtons are broody hens, gentle/friendly, good egg layers, and survive the coldest winters! I am getting another two hens in June! 10/10 recommend.

We only ordered one Buff Orpington chick out of our backyard flock of five, but since day one she has been the best of the flock! She was a big eater and very robust as a chick, and as an adult she was the first to start laying and the only one to lay through the winter. I wasn't expecting that from a heavier breed! She's also incredibly sweet. She runs to the front when we open the door and doesn't mind petting or handling. Her name is Liz Lemon, both for her yellow color and her big appetite.

I love my Buff Orpington!!! We got her back in April as a day old chick, along with a few other breeds. My chicks arrived promptly, healthy, and happy, and have thrived ever since. My Orpington is the sweetest and always up for a cuddle/following me around the yard. She was one of the first to lay eggs (at 5 months old) and is a very consistent layer. She is so friendly!

We love our Buffs, who are now 3 years old. They've both stopped laying a year and a half ago. One laid her first egg- and then another 44 in a row when she started out. Despite the early retirement hey're excellent flock members. One helped integrate a new broody (i.e. a stranger to the flock) with a couple babies into the flock this last couple weeks, which was lovely to watch, and they're both sensible girls who also act as loving aunties to the recently weaned chicks though neither has EVER gone broody herself. I do wish they had laid eggs longer, but we treasure their role in the flock.
