“We got our Holly in Sping 2020 in a motley crew of 5 hens. She was the first one to lay at 19 weeks and lays every single day. She was on the bottom of the pecking order as a chick, but currently she is on top (3 ladies aren't laying yet) and is now a bit of a jerk. She was a very adorable and sweet yellow chick and now fully feathered, she has beautiful coloring (stock photo does no justice). Happy we got her and will purchase again in the future!”

The Red Stars have been the absolute best: good temperament, docile, don't eat eggs (that's been a problem), don't go cannibalistic (also a problem), lay HUGE brown eggs reliably, more healthy and resistant to mites, and they can be sexed by color at hatching!! (We got an accidental rooster of another breed.) We're about to re-up our flock, and planning to get 20-40, all Red Stars.”

“I ordered seven but one passed. The other six of these girls are about three weeks old. There on the ground in the run and coop along with fourteen full grown quail. Two of the quail sleep in the coop with the chicks. The chicks are very active, love meal worms and are friendly although I have not put much effort to make them that way. “I purchased a couple groups of this chicken. They are the most friendly, loving sweet natured chicken we have ever had. We love these birds. They will jump up and sit on my shoulder.. or up on the can when I am getting the feed out. “I love my Golden Buffs and did not know much about them until reading this site and the great reviews. I have two in my small backyard flock and love them both dearly. Sophia and Goldie are just gorgeous and so nice. They are quiet friendly cooperative birds. They love to forage with my Speckled Sussex and Barred Rock hens. Great addition to any flock particularly backyard farmers that require a small hen for large brown eggs thereby reducing feed cost. I would most assuredly purchase again!”
