“Our Golden Buff, “Ruby” is so sweet! She decides when she wants to be handled but is very docile. When’s she’s in the mood for it she lets us hold her, spread her wings and pet her. We’re very pleased with her. Great job will be ordering more of this breed in the future!”

“We received our Red Star in May of 2023. She is now a healthy 13 month old hen, who has reliably provided us with 4-5 large eggs/week since she was 17 weeks old (even through our Michigan winter, WITHOUT added heat or lights). She gets along well with the other hens and enjoys being with people too :-).”
Ah! The Golden Buff (Red Star) breed is a prolific egg layer and as you've experienced, will continue to lay even when all the other girls stop for a break! They tend to be friendly little ones as well and will sometimes even become the "lap chicken" if given the opportunity!
