Baby Chicks: Silked White Easter Eggers Female Reviews

4.5 Rating 151 Reviews
Our little Heidi was a screaming chick that hated to be held (but absolutely the cutest chick ever.) She has mellowed a bit and is very pretty with feathered, black legs, res comb, turquoise earlobes, with light yellow beak. She is definitely quite a mix of the breeds! Just start laying a cream colored egg at 24 and a half weeks.

I love these birds! They are docile and sweet and lay beautiful green, blue, and pinkish cream eggs. The only reason I don’t give five stars is because one of our ladies didn’t lay and had what appeared to be seizures. Apart from that one hen though I would 100% recommended buying these sweet chicks.

I have had Silkies in the past, but wanted to try this hybrid. Their personalities are similar to what I've experienced before as these 2 ladies tend to stick together (I can't believe how racist chickens are!) I have two, Phyllis (Diller) has crazy hair with a tall crest and Toni (got her name because she has an extra full-sized toe on each foot) has a very smooth head. Both are beautiful girls! They are the first to hit the ground running when the coop door opens in the morning. They are incredible hunters! I can't believe the size of the earthworms they dig up! They put on a good show pretending not to care that I'm giving my other hens affection, darting just out-of-reach when I bend over to pick them up. But when it's time for bed, they will hang around outside for a private cuddle session when nobody else is looking.

This was such a smooth transaction. 9 Silkie Bantam Chicks all arrived alive. I'd definitely recommend buying from you again. Thank you so much! I'm looking forward to watching them grow.

Our girl winter is a complete loner in our very large flock. She needs nobody! She’s always out on the move foraging sun up til sun down- and always alone. Sleeps alone never pairs up to a group of gals. She has a hard time seeing with her floof so she is a bit cuckoo that way. She’s broody oh yes! Lays a small light blue egg but we adore here so much I want more.

In the future, I want an entire flock of Silked Easter Eggers... she is the nicest and quirkiest gal AND lays a larger, more frequent egg. What isn't to love? Question - Will additional colors ever be added? That would be fun!!

We got three of these last year and they have been on of our favorite breeds after 8 years of chicken keeping. We raised them inside our house and whenever they are turned out in our yard they come to the French doors and peck on the glass- they want t come in and be with us! One in particular is especially fond of being picked up and adored. They are quiet and not too messy. Highly recommend this amazing breed!

My Silkied easter egger is about the same size as my regular Silkies. She is beautiful! She lays a small (42 grams average) tinted green blue egg. She lays well, but is a screaming broody! I thought based on the description that they would be more like an Easter Egger but with silkied feathering (bigger eggs, not broody, etc). This girl is Everything Silkie other than the egg color! (same broodiness, body size and egg size as regular Silkies)
