Baby Chicks: Silked White Easter Eggers Female Reviews

4.5 Rating 151 Reviews
I bought 3 chicks. They are 7 months old now. 2 are laying (1 cream, 1 blue). The other chicken has yet to lay but isn’t crowing either. I’m confused on if it’s a hen or roo still. Chicken in question pictured. All 3 are cute.

These are amazing little birds! Because they are part silkie, it is not uncommon for them to develop slower. You will likely be getting eggs soon as the days get longer.

We love our little silkie Easter egger! She's cute and fluffy and smol just like a little silkie but lays the most beautiful teal eggs almost every day! We ordered another because we were so happy with her. Very sweet personality too!

This friendly small chicken is the perfect backyard starter chicken! Friendly, good egg layer (gorgeous eggs!), and not a fence hopping risk!

Sweet chicks. I got 3 back in August and 1 just started laying. I was hoping for blue but ours is cream colored. Maybe the other two will lay blue. I’m not convinced that 95% are actually blue layers bc someone else said that said that MPC chicks rarely lay the color they say.

Hello Amanda, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback on our Silked White Easter Eggers. We genuinely appreciate your thoughts and insights regarding your experience with this breed. We sincerely apologize that one of the chicks you received started laying cream-colored eggs instead of the expected blue ones. We understand that this may not be what you had hoped for, and we truly regret any disappointment or inconvenience this may have caused. We do anticipate 95% of our Silked White Easter Eggers to lay blue or blue/green eggs and certainly hope the other two will give you the egg color you desire. To make things better and address your concerns, we would love to hear more from you. Please keep us updated once your other two Silked Easter Eggers are laying. Once again, we thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We strive to provide the best possible service and are committed to making amends and addressing your concerns.

The greatest $250 I’ve ever spent Bought 4 female chicks that shipped July 25th 2023 and arrived issue-free at the post office July 26th before noon. All healthy and adorable Some are more skidding than others but they all run to me with all my other chickens and tolerate handling well enough to have a good relationship. So far 3 have started laying - 1 lays a light pearl-pink egg and 2 lay nice deeply colored green/teal eggs. I prefer my Easter Eggers to lay all different colors like this but if you want blue/green only then don’t bank on that supposed 95% lol

We're delighted that three of them have already started laying eggs. The variety of colors you mentioned, including the pearl-pink and deep green/teal eggs, sound absolutely beautiful. While we understand that the 95% statistic may not always hold true, it's still exciting to have such a colorful selection.

I ordered 1 of these last spring and she is fully grown now and her skin is actually bright blue! Such a beautiful bird and a great layer.

Thank you for taking the time to review one our little ones! She sounds stunning! My Pet Chicken hopes to help you with your flock care needs in the future!

The friendliest chicken in the flock. She runs up to greet you every time you enter the coop and doesn’t mind being handles. We love her and are looking to get several more. She is by far the smallest chicken, but beautiful. I highly recommend this breed.

Thank you for sharing your experience with this new breed. They are lovely little birds and although they vary in appearance, most have the sweet temperament of a silkie.

The 2 white silked Easter Eggers that hatched on 7/24/23 are laying the cutest little blue eggs! They have started laying first. One girl haa the Crest and the puffy cheeks but very little feather on the legs. The other one has no Crest, but has the puffy cheeks and lots of feather on the legs. They are super friendly. We love them so much .
