SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Reviews

So we have a 4yr old cat who is out hunting 99% of the day which meant her food was available to every stray in the neighbourhood and this was our solution. Tried to set her up with her microchip but it didn't want to work! Then we tried it with the RDID tag and it worked a charm only problem was she lost her collar the same day! So a little bit frustrating that her microchip didn't work but it's likely because it's not within range of the sensors so we decided to get her another collar and another set of RDID tags and fingers crossed she doesn't lose these ones. Would definitely recommend because it keeps her wet food moist, keeps the strays away, keeps our 2 kittens out of devouring her food and most of all keeps the smell at bay. Thumbs up!

I bought two of these as I have three cats, one has IBD so cannot eat the other cats food. My 3 month old kitten took to it straight away, within a minute of setting it up she knew what she was doing. My older cat (3yrs) thought it was suspect - she is very timid and the noise of the lid opening and closing scared her - after 4 days of leaving it open and prompting her to use it she finally settled and uses it no problem. They keep wet food moist instead of drying out. They are easy to clean and my cats seem to love them. So much so, that I have purchased an additional one for my cat with IBD to keep his food moist as he often leaves his food lying in his bowl for long periods of time and in summer we tend to get flies because of the food being out. They look pretty smart too.

I have 2 cats, one is VERY food driven, the other is not interested in food AT ALL. Hence it has taken me a while to post my review as the cat I intended this for wouldn't use it due to her aversion to food. We now love it!! She still does not eat anywhere near enough, but at least we are able to leave food down for her without the other one scoffing it. We often hear her having a wee nibble around 3am and 5am, this would not have been possible without this feeder. We have her set up with the collar tag, but now that she uses it we will get her microchipped at next vet visit.

I had never heard of this product until spotting on special with pet.co.nz. It's the perfect solution for my household. Since getting dog four years ago the cat has had to feed off the kitchen table. Not a good look when having a dinner party! Puss is used to using a cat flap and also has a door on her kitty litter box so it was no problem to train her. In fact one day! It worked perfectly with her microchip. She loves it.

Great feeder. I was having issues with a neighbours cat stealing my cats food. This solved all issues. I also have quite a timid cat so was unsure how she might react to a moving lid on her feeder but she was fine after a few days.

Works perfectly after a replacement. Only issue is if your cat is a messy eater it can get cat meat in areas that are hard to clean. Currently only using biscuits in it and its easy to clean.

With 2 cats and 2 dogs I desperately needed a solution to orderly, no thieving, feeding. My cats (who like to graze) got the hang of using the feeder straight off. Their microchip was read and away they went. No further training required. My dogs (who like to thieve) accepted their 'game' was over. Magnificent... I no longer need to supervise meal times. Whether you are wanting to use this for cats or small dogs, I highly recommend it. It keeps the food fresh and clean all day, and safe for the pet it was intended for.
