“Great product. We have three cats with different needs, one adult, one over weight and a kitten. We now have all three with their own feeder so they can't steal each others food and the dogs also are kept out. They work a treat.”
“Our birman took to this like a duck to water - no training needed. She just worked it out during the night on her own. It's great so our other cat can't eat her food.”
“I have two of these and worth the cost as it keeps the other neighbourhood cats out and keeps pet food smells contained and flies away in the warmer weather.”
“Bought this to stop one kitty with a weight problem from taking food from the other kitty in the house. Sadly the fatty learned that she can just walk around the side and reach around the other side of the arch to eat while the other kitty is eating. Also, it's meant to work with microchips but even though it registered his chip almost instantly, it will only very occasionally open or will only open for a short time. He has only had his chip put in a few months ago so I can't imagine it's migrated far enough for the SureFeed to not see it, especially since it will log it into the system so easily. (I have put the tag on a collar for him but he is not a fan of collars and has removed it many times already..).
It's a cool little futuristic/fancy feeder but it definitely hasn't worked the way I had hoped.. =(
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Edit!~~~ We found that the feeder we originally received was faulty which is why we were having trouble with the microchip! Pet.co.nz was great and helped us to solve the issue (which ended up in us getting a new feeder) and now everything is working as it should =) Also, to solve the issue with the food-obsessed kitty, we cut the top and front off of a cardboard box and put the feeder inside that so there's no access to the back or sides. Would be great if they came with some kind of barrier/cover already built in or as an extra piece which could be attached but that's the only real issue and the reason for 4 rather than 5 stars =)”
“This is a good product. Less hassle. Only thing is the feeder can't scan my bichon's microchip. Not sure the feeder not working on it or my dogs microchip not in right place. So I have to let her wear the sureflap tag. It's working. But she just needs to wear it everyday.”
“I didn't buy my Microchip Feeder from pet.co.nz (I did directly from the supplier), but I can honestly say it was worth the investment.
Once my cat was trained on how to use it, I've never looked back. No smell, keeps wet food wet, and everything is easy to clean.
The only downfall is that I wish the mat area was a little bigger as my cat likes to sometimes drop his food on the mat and eat from there (as he would with any bowl).”
“I think it's great... should have got one a long time ago. We got a second one for the other cat. Stops the pet food smell in the room also. We have two cats with one on a kidney diet so this is an ideal solution.”
