The kids absolutely loved this kit. This kit tied in nicely with our maths week. Lots of measurement involved! The children loved being officials and timing, measuring and observing each world record. The process really capitvated this age group (Year 3/4). Great kit would totally use again!

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We've just completed Zespri Young & Healthy Programme, so this carried on nicely with Health /PE, but adding in maths. Initially the children thought I was kidding when I said that we needed to learn some maths for our PE this term. They were engaged with
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Because we have only finished it today, and only have 6 more days of the school year, I won't be doing anything more with it. I always planned for it to be a fun, relevant end of year activity.

What a GREAT kit. We've really enjoyed this one. It tied in nicely with our Measurement Learning, and with Science too, as we'd been learning about fair tests, which we needed to consider when undertaking the Records.. The children were keen to generate their own World Records, and loved the 'add some silly' element. We spent three long sessions attempting the records, with most children highly engaged in the process.

This kit was the perfect blend of practicing mathematical skills and creative thinking. They really enjoyed coming up with unique ideas and enjoyed having a go at each others world record ideas. They also enjoyed trying to beat the records set by others!
