How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students? All the records required some form of measurement so it forced them to think critically about what to measure and how they could do this.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Great links to mathematics with measurement, counting. We linked to writing, the children had to choose their favourite recorded that took part in and explain why.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? The children loved the random, silly challenges! Would definitely like to bring more of those in the classroom as team work challenges or just as brain breaks

How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students? We stuck to pretty basic records as our class is made up of yr 1/2 but the measurement aspect was great in terms of distance records, also counting if the record was for ‘how many’

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? We ended up doing a lot of the practical activities at fitness time and we have some new ideas for syndicate fitness from this kit and the ideas the students generated.
