How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students?
Students had to apply their knowledge of measuring accurately using standard units and learning to accurately time themselves. There was lots of thinking and discussion around comparing records and calculating differences.

How many students can skip in a large rope at the same time for 20 consecutive jumps. Students were not confident at skipping so this challenge helped to motivate them to build their skill level.
