“Was excited to receive the kit. There were a number of items in it I did not know how to use. But absolutely loved the rolls of sticky 'display' tape with "Be Kind" continuously repeated. Used them on windows and doors inside and out. Much appreciated. PS: For the rest of this review I am entering mostly 'neutral' answers, as I did not even recognise this was associated with art - so did not use it like that.”

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Hopefully I'll be able to have another go with the kids before the end of the year - and if not then I would like to have another go when the kids return next year.

How did using art as the context allow your learners to explore the themes of racism and inclusivity? Art is much more than just making things. It stretching our own beliefs as we have to step out of our own views and try to look at the world through the artists eyes. It takes us beyond ourselves.

“Due to personal difficulties I was unable to begin this unit in Term 2, so began Week 2, Term 3. However due to Covid-19 lockdown I was unable to complete this unit with my class as we have been focussing with communicating with our students and trying to build up their online learning.”

How did using art as the context allow your learners to explore the themes of racism and inclusivity? My students love art. As mentioned above, addressing racism through this creative process provided students with a safe environment for them to explore and acknowledge the problem of racism.
