Did you Encounter Stories You Didn't Know Before?
yes
How effective was the student facing website (somethinghappenedhere.co.nz) for your learners?
How effective were the Teacher Support Materials in the School Kit Squad website?
How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content?
Great. I loved the easy reference wheel and coded overarching learning objectives to refer to for each level of activity. It's surprising how much reflection I made on my own education, feeling embarrassed for the lack of prior knowledge I had about some of the material. For me having background links provided for me to further my own understanding was v helpful.
How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model?
Yes I think the students will be far more engaged if it's something immediately relevant to them in their local rohe, which is why I started with 'observatiion' first. We discovered the pepeha for our area had a lot more to it.
