How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? I found it a bit hard to follow the teacher website. The student website was a bit of a challenge for lower learners to access as well. It would have been nice to have a bit more scaffolding / information on each site.

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? We could use this again and again each year!

“I was blown away by the quality of this kit when it arrived! The students had a great time looking through all the pieces such as the blanket sample. It stimulated some amazing discussion and sharing of student's knowledge about these topics, which wasn't anticipated. It was really relevant to students as well as there were local stories from all over NZ.”

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? We normally go on our community walks at the beginning of the year, however we visited our local areas last week, learning all about local pūrākau (stories) of the area.

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Yes, infact we went on a trip to Orakau, Maniapoto and Rangiaowhia after using the cards that linked to our inquiry.

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Yes. we could use this model. and it would be great to develop a local website using this model - which could be an awesome collaboration between students, teachers, community and iwiw.

“It took a bit to get my head around this kit, but once I did it is full of promise and lots of applications beyond the original stories / images. Primary source learning is the focus with explicit links to DO section of ANZH / SS curriculum. Website has the beginning of awesomeness...still some under development. Watch this space!”

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? There are some really cool connections with our local marae that has been interesting to connect with students and their links.
