Did you Encounter Stories You Didn't Know Before?
yes
How effective was the student facing website (somethinghappenedhere.co.nz) for your learners?
How effective were the Teacher Support Materials in the School Kit Squad website?
How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content?
It has had a huge impact. I was not confident at all prior to getting the kit to teach NZ History. I no longer need to spend hours searching for material as it is all right there in the one place.
How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model?
I have just moved to another region of NZ and the kit has helped me to springboard myself and my students into learning more about our local area. We were able to visit the local museum and it was wonderful for the students to be able to share their knowledge from the kit with the museum staff.
How significant was the impact of this kit on your confidence in delivering the Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content?
How would you rate your knowledge of the new Aotearoa NZ histories curriculum content prior to using this kit?
What was the impact of knowing the stories in this kit were developed in collaboration with their iwi/whānau/community?
It meant that we got a broad and varied view of the historical events - not just the NZ Euro view. This meant the learning for our Maori and Pasifika students was authentic and they kept wanting to learn more.
Which of the following archives were you aware of and using with your students prior to kit?
