How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? A fantastic support.... really like the stories of real people's experience. It made the history seem more real and had more impact when we can imagine a real person's journey
How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Would love this kit to cover Hawkes Bay.... we would really appreciate the Hawkes Bay stories to be available on the website

“A fantastic resource for my more able readers. They are easily frustrated and not used to researching/ learning from such a large range of materials so this was great learning for them. It was very challenging so we worked together. The kids were often interested and surprised by the history of our country. Our most recent postcard was about the springbok tour, this led to some great conversations!!”

“This kit is absolutely amazing. ALL of my children fell in love with the stories. At first we did two as a whole class and then they branched out to choose their own stories. The results were fantastic and they all loved making their own slides and presenting back to all of us, who sat spellbound finding out more NZ stories.”

“This is the best School Kit topic that I have used so far. The resources gave me scope to use several times. The kids engaged super well with this resource and learned so much. “We have been using 'Something Happened Here' in our class for the past 4 weeks. Our students are loving the inquiry process. They love the way the resource is structured with authentic sound bites and videos. There is plenty to discover and we've enjoyed learning new things. As the teacher, I have carefully chosen the cards that we follow first, so we get off to a really positive start. We began with Murderers' Bay and followed this with Jack Lovelock and the 1936 Olympics.”
