My students loved this! Everything in the pack was well set out and easy to follow. Tracking our turtle and managing rubbish in our environment was easy to slot into our daily routine. The lessons also lent themselves to other learning areas and we enjoyed researching about sea turtles and writing information reports, creating a bar graph to track how far our turtle moved each day.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The text messages and the writing prompts, because they were very engaging. I added a bit of drama, as suggested and they were so into it. they also loved the little gloves and special rubbish bags - who would have thought picking up rubbish could be so fun and engaging. The whole idea about being part of the Sea Cleaners Team was very engaging. They felt they were part of something important.

Diary of a Turtle 25 provides a great range of learning activities which are accessible to a wide range of year levels. My Year One class loved choosing and tracking an actual turtle and we did some great writing related to our learning. They also loved the text messages and got excited whenever I said we'd received a new message. The kit provides learning across learning areas. I appreciated that the clean up could be done pretty much anywhere, and didn't require a trip to a beach. Thanks for some great learning, Schoolkit.

My students loved following a turtle which we named Bella. The videos from the sea captain were a great impact to show the amount of rubbish that ends up in our oceans. The School Kit website was easy to use. Using the bags and gloves also made collecting the rubbish more of a focus.

I absolutely loved this kit for inspiring my five year olds' writing. They wrote some amazing stories using the phone picture prompts to start us off. Foloowing the distance of a real life recently released turtle was great. Not all of the suggested activities were suitable for my class but I was easily able to make modifications where necessary.
