Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The adopt a turtle made it a lot more personable and easier for quick engagement and connection for tamariki! Checking in on location, talking about maps and tracking, and kids developing empathy quickly to then broaden to other marine line. Definite biggest impact in our class!! So many great discussions using ‘Lil Mango’ as an example.

How has this kit impacted your class culture toward whenua ora (land wellness) and sustainability?
Tamariki are a lot more aware when they see rubbish now. They notice it and want to stop it because otherwise “it will hurt Lil Mango!!” Even more awareness and quick action to pick up litter when they see it near drains or gutters and rivers and streams.
