Was there a particular component that struck a chord with your class? Daily check in's really helped, my students could reach out for help in a way that didn't feel so vulnerable and I was able to help them more effectively by knowing what was going on in their lives.

Which response stood out most? .They were shocked at how many women didn't say think they were beautiful, including themselves. The harshness of ourselves towards ourselves really struck a chord with them.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Hopefully they will take it with them when they move into mainstream high school. I hope that they are able to teach thier peers the same things that I taught them, and I hope that other teachers can raise them up to who they are meant to be.

“We loved this kit. So many of our students with low self esteem and having the option to check in anonymously, reflect on themselves and thier lives, finding and talking to trusted adults and taking time to notice our strengths has been a real game changer for us. A really great kit and I hope that many of our students take this strength with them, and treat themselves and thier bodies with a lot more kindness and positive affirmations.”

“Our class recently completed the SchoolKit Self-Esteem Kit, and it was a fantastic experience. The lessons were hands-on, creative, and really got everyone thinking about what makes us unique and how we can build each other up. The activities helped students explore ideas around confidence, kindness, and the influence of media, all in a fun and age-appropriate way. The materials were beautifully designed and easy to use, and the teacher support made it simple to follow. How has this the kit influenced the way in which students speak to each other? I have noticed that the children have a little more empathy for each other and will support rather than attack.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? That we all feel emotions and judge ourselves harshly. That if we see ourselves from a family members perspective we would be more kind to ourselves. That we don't have to listen to negative comments and have to take them on. We can support our families struggling with self esteem issues.

“The children loved the content of the lessons. They were able to express some emotions and situations they would not usually be able to in a class setting. It started some conversations about the sadness we see in some of our family members. I felt this was a good outlet for some students to get some heavy emotions off their chest.”
