What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? An awareness of themselves and how to be themselves

“This was a great kit - easy to follow and had all that I needed, so it made the delivery easy. I'm not sure if I had the correct term for this. I might prefer to do it in term 2, which would start feeling relaxed and comfortable. Term 4 needs something more about resilience for change and navigating some of the mean girl behaviours that happen.”

Was there a particular component that struck a chord with your class? It really helped them to understand each other more. I wasn't expecting this, but they could see that some of the behaviours they see at school were a direct result of how that person felt about themselves.

How has this the kit influenced the way in which students speak to each other? They became more aware of how that other person was feeling about themselves and why they might say or do the things that we see... AND how that may not actually be about them! It was more a reflection of the other person because of how they felt about themselves.

“This is a fantastic kit to build up our young people in authentic ways. There is quite a bit of background work that you need to do (contacting families for the letter and ensuring that every student has one) to make it a really effective learning experience for them. However, there are so many activities that expand they way they think about themselves and others.”
