The resources provided in the kit were great. The ideas behind it were great and we loved the concepts. However, the instructions provided were extremely confusing and hard to follow. The three sections made it even harder to understand. It took 2 well seasoned teachers over an hour just to read through the instructions and figure out what we were meant to be doing at each step. This is very disappointing given how great the resources are. For example, it was very confusing that the quintuplet exercise at the beginning had nothing to do with the rest of the activities as this was not signalled. We were trying to figure out how the first activities fit with the rest of them. It was a lot of reading in one go to start the letters (I didn't think it was too much but a lot of our students struggled - even working in groups of 3). If I were to do it again I would work through one letter with the students first to show them the types of key words they would be looking for and work the whole way through and then get them to go through their own letter. This would obviously double the amount of time that we would have to put aside for the activity but it would mean they got more out of the activity. Overall, I really appreciated the obvious thought that had gone into the kit and the fun way that it introduced so many concepts to students but I think that the way it is set up could be changed to make it much easier to follow for any teacher.

Thank you for providing the school kit. I appreciate the effort that has gone into developing this resource. While I found a couple of the items useful, overall, the kit didn’t fully align with what I was looking for to support my current program. At this stage, I’ve decided not to incorporate it into my plans. Additionally, I found the volume of emails regarding the kit to be a bit overwhelming. Streamlining communication might make it easier for to engage with the materials.
