This kit looked really good when I first started using it, and the idea behind it was really good, but I found it didn't work that well for my students. The hook was great, they enjoyed reading the letters and exploring the characters, but the templates for them to fill in were a bit confusing. In the end we got all the key learning out of the kit but I think the templates could be reworked to make them easier to use. For example the students often found it confusing working out how the different life phases fit together, with the use of cumlative totals a bit counter intuitive.

I used this kit as part of an Economics unit for Year 10’s. Parts of the kit that were useful were the calculators on sorted.org and the letters. The guide was confusing at times to follow and the logic puzzle was not a hit.

I really enjoyed how the students were able to do group work. I did find it would have been useful as a teacher to have a worked answer I could go through as it took a bit of working out what I needed the students to do. The students loved opening the envelopes and seeign what was inside especially. We found the logic puzzle so hard! I love doing these, but teaching a room of teens how to do it didn't work out well!

There were some aspects the students were interested in, but some that didn't seem relevant like the decision matrix exercises. The implementation of the resources on the platform was cumbersome to use.
