We talked a lot about biodiversity and it's importance. We incorporated this into our shared reading, our group reading as well as our maths (statistics). We produced some artwork by using microscopes and drawing what we could see with a focus on pastel b

As mentioned above we didn't get a chance to sample in the stream (we switched in terrestrial biodiversity) So we will be using the sampling gear next year - but it will be interesting to see how they compare terrestrial with water biodiversity and sampli

Great for developing understanding. Our stream passes through significant cultural sites, as well as being able to discuss the importance of water to our iwi.
