What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? This was the part of the kit that fell down for me. Hard to stamp or track when things didn't come to school.
How have your students' perceptions of water conservation changed since using the resource and did it foster a sense of responsibility and awareness in your classroom? I think they did have a shift, we have already studied the water cycle and water pollution so they had a good understanding and being in Wellington with continued water woes we are aware of how precious it is.

The learning content for the classroom was fantastic, robust discussions and learning about the water cycle and saving water. I found that I had little or NO buy in from home and it was extremely difficult to get any information back to track things. I felt that I had failed somewhat, however, the discussions and learning in the classroom hopefully made up for this.

This kit really gets the kids to think about something they take for granted everyday - water. With links to engage whānau, and hands-on measurement tasks, it really gets the class to think about water critically. A little quickly adds up to a lot, and helps to make changes in their habits.

Their weren't enough activities for the students to do in groups themselves. It was mostly to do with home activities.

Thank you SchoolKit, your Water Savers kit was a great addition to our Inquiry topic all about Water. Our tamariki were excited by their packs they got to take home to help raise awareness and save water! We hung up the classroom posters and several of our kids chose to keep track of their water saving efforts using the water droplet stamps provided. The videos to support the resources were also a great help. It would have been even better to have a few photos of what the kids could do with the overall stamping data - e.g. examples of crearing bargraphs, pie charts etc.

The water savers kit was a great resource that complimented our topic theme of kaitiakitanga. The kit gave our learners some great opportunities to think about their water usage and realistic ways to reduce their impact.

The children were really engaged with recording their efforts on the wall charts. It was the first thing most of them did as soon as they arrived at school. The wall displays were effective and helpful as visible reminders of our learning and how the children could make a difference themselves.

My students enjoyed this process. They were shocked at the amount of water that is used in their house hold everyday. They even made a comparison between our school house to see how much we used together.

Which water saving habit/s were your students most engaged in? Tap off while brushing teeth, 5 minute showers
What influence has this kit had in promoting the longevity of water saving habits and what other water related topics did your students come up with? We had been doing an inquiry into water previously so it fit well with prior learning. I felt like at school we did not dive as deep into this because most of the kit required kids to do the water saving in their everyday lives outside of school so the connection to the kit was not as strong as other kits but I did have good feedback from parents

What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? The kids enjoyed stamping the posters and feeling a part of the kit. It was achievable for every one of them to participate in some way.
How have your students' perceptions of water conservation changed since using the resource and did it foster a sense of responsibility and awareness in your classroom? Not so much in the classroom as water is not in common use. But I had a lot of feedback from parents saying their kids had talked to the family about what they could do to save water and they were eager to share their new learning. Kids were motivated to make a difference.

The kit had everything you needed to conduct an investigation into saving water and to encourage your tamariki to think about their water habits.
