A lot of our class were already making really good choices so it ended up just being a cool way to see how much we save compared to if we weren't making those choices already.

What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? Just a great visual. Not many were super fascinated by anything in particular. Just excited to fill containers and see progress.
How have your students' perceptions of water conservation changed since using the resource and did it foster a sense of responsibility and awareness in your classroom? I don't feel their perceptions changed hugely.

How did the activity help students make connections between circuit theory and real-world applications? It helped them by seeing how we could all investigate and make a change as a group.
I chose to add the Water Savers School Kit onto the end of a water saving unit run through another provider. It was enjoyable to discuss and record our efforts. Some of the process/plan was a bit unclear for me. The fact checking was confusing for some but it was good learning. Often not enough online to be able to find multiple sources to support for most claims. We filled in most of the graphs really quickly but others were very difficult to fill in the time given. It's unfortunate that I can only use this kit once.

What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? It was hard for us to do this successsfully as we did it in a Year 8 Science class and we only see them twice a week. That meant we couldn't get the daily updates that they would get in homeroom. It sort of lost it's appeal because of this and we couldn't get momentum going.
How have your students' perceptions of water conservation changed since using the resource and did it foster a sense of responsibility and awareness in your classroom? In some students it has made a difference but in others not so much.

The Watersavers unit was used by our Year 8 cohort where we linked it into the particle nature of matter and an environmental topic. There were some great ideas in the unit and the take home portion was exciting but unfortunately not all our students bought into that side of it. The concept of the amount of water used in manufacturing (eg phones), along with the ideas about how much water a whale gulps was intriguing for the students and really engaged them.
