“Love my new frypan - been wanting to buy one for years and so far very happy with it - would definitely recommend and look forward to using it for decades to come :)”
“Loving this pan. We’ve been using it twice a day since we got it and it’s been cooking everything beautifully. Plus love the peace of mind we have knowing nothing sinister is leeching from our pan into the food.”
“I love these Aus-Ion pan so much that i have bought 3 and the most recent purchase of the 30cm pan is for my daughter's Christmas gift. these pans are expensive, durable, hodlt ehheat so well and with the mearest smear of oil become non stick. even though i travel often in a van, and these pans might be considered heavy for travel, they are the first thing i pack.Thats how good they are.”
“I used it for the first time today and followed the instructions in regards to heating it up and it has a buckle in the middle already. Is this a warranty issue?
Thanks
Mark”
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your review and for sending through the photo.
The good news is: what you’re seeing isn’t a buckle — it’s the intentional concave built into all of our pans. This is common with all quality heavy-based iron/steel pans, to compensate for movement when heated.
A small amount of concave won’t affect cooking performance (even on electric or infrared). Many pans will also sit closer to flat as they heat — especially when gently preheated on lower settings and matched to a suitably sized burner.
You can learn more about our concave and why it’s needed here:
