I have not been with this company long enough to form a genuine review, however I was very pleased with my reasonable insurance quote for the year (especially what it included) and was happy to see that this company had very good reviews on Trust Pilot :) I hope I am not disappointed! :)

Shocking , dig a little deeper and many have been charged extras months after taking out policies . Quality of repairs , asking for extra info ( and charging extra) after initial cost. Personally I was too concerned about the ACTUAL level of cover and potential repairs in event of accident. I subsequently decided to cancel a whole week before policy start and was charged £50 cancellation fee ( carefully disguised as a set up fee) I won't be " chancing it" with these cowboys!!!. Belligerent and obtuse when concerns voiced on phone . Disgusting customer service. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

AVOID! WORST EXPERIENCE - make you complete everything online then chase you straight after to find any fault in dates etc they can. My insurance is £300..they then told me to pay £85 more because my license date was 2 months out (despite it been over 15 years old...). Then they levy a £50 admin fee for everything. If you want to change a date, £50, an initial, £50 - if you try to cancel, £100 penalty. Incredibly unhelpful. WORST INSURER ON THE MARKET

I have been taking insurance from compare the market since three years unfortunately I selected 1st central seeing a low price took the insurance after two weeks they asked said some on my details are missing and demaned 700 pounds to make ammendment spoke to Andrew macdonals team leader promised to investigate and said will offer a compensation and then he disappeared. Had to pay another 106 pounds to take the head out of this fraud company.

Had accident on 21st april 21. made a claim it non fault and since then i been ringing nearly every day and still not sorted. will never ever insure my car with them.

Did my application online. Misunderstanding with my date of birth. Was getting charged for changing address. Was going to cancel until I got put through to a lovely lady called Lauren who sounded Scottish. Dealt with matter brilliantly and gave me a small refund For date of birth making policy cheaper. Overall fantastic service from her. Would have cancelled policy if she didn’t intervene and help me out. Thank you. Would have been. 3/4 stars. But Lauren made it 5 👍

1ST central insurance will come out cheap on comparison sites and then rip you off with admin charges and add ons. Also terrible customer service. AVOID

This is the first time I've bought car insurance with 1st Central. The set up was very easy and the price cheaper than what I'm currently paying, which helps massively when wages are not going up. The website is clear, easy to understand and to navigate. I've also noticed 1st Central are present on social media, so I will follow their pages now that I am a new customer. This allows me to keep up with their latest news and it's another way of contacting them should I need to.

Useless, they can't even answer the phone. Called the 4 times, every time i go through their automated section to then be cut off. I will not be insuring my car with them.

ABYSMAL, TERRIBLE SERVICE. BE WARNED! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They WILL shaft you! I have been a customer with 1st Central for years and years, always renewed, always paid, never made a claim. I have 6 years no claims bonus which I wanted to use with my new insurance company in France. As the French system operates differently, they requested a SIMPLE 2-LINE confirmation in PLAIN English (as everyone at their company speaks French and they will use an online translation machine) saying that: I have held a policy with 1st Central since 2016 until this Wednesday and have never had an accident. 1ST CENTRAL REFUSE TO DO THIS, THE WORK OF A MOMENT! THEY REFUSE TO CONFIRM THIS IN ANY MANNER AT ALL. NOT EVEN A SIMPLE EMAIL THAT TAKES LESS THAN 60 SECONDS. Instead, they demand that the French company call their customer service line and attempt to explain to a random advisor (WHO HAS NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF THIS MATTER) what has happened in order to get verbal confirmation. Naturally, no-one at 1ST CENTRAL speaks French but nonetheless they think it entirely reasonable to demand someone else do something they cannot linguistically do themselves. THEY CATEGORICALLY REEFUSE TO DO ANYTHING TO ASSIST OR RESOLVE THE SITUATION. ZERO assistance for their loyal customers who have paid them for years. Assistance which would take them but a minute to do. Just a horrendous attitude. STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.
