Staff are not helpful. Customer service is not good. My first contact with you was night mare. Staff a used me of shouting when l was not and also hang my call. I was only asking your staff to post my motor insurance and you only use email communication to confirm his conversation via email.

Absolutely the worst experience of any insurance company I have ever had the misfortune to try an do business with! Demanding extra payment of £105.45 because of an error I made filling out that I had a previous claim, I received this demand by text and had no idea what it was for! Only to be told when I phoned that I should of had an email explaining why? No email was received until after my phone call! When I inquired why it was so much I was told because of my mistake my premium had gone up an I had to pay a £50 admin charge! My original price of insurance with your unprofessional company was £248.31, When I resubmitted my details on your website and selected the correct phrase from the drop down menu the premium went up to £255.35, A difference of £7.04! How can you justify £98.41 is beyond me, I was promised call backs from managers 3 times an never received a single one! It was cheaper to cancel my insurance with you and pay the £50 admin charge an proceed to get insurance with a reputable professional company, How the company managers or directors sleep at night when they have taken off the black masks an stabled the horses I will never know! I hope you don't fine your employees £98.41 for any mistake they could ever make when filling out a form! No regards whatsoever Martin

I did my insurance with 1st central they cost me 835£ a year from 22of may start and today a fine it with the same company for 777£ for less price.

Highly dissatified with 1st Central. They still charged me a £50 set up fee, even though I cancelled before the policy even started! Just another money grabbing technique from a greedy insurance company. I won't consider 1st Central at all in the future.

Very disappointed. Cancelled my policy before it started and I have been charged £50 fee where it's stays £0 for cancellation on website. Disgraceful, highly not recommended this provider to anyone.

I would not recommend at all. They are money snatcher always after money. I have been with them 3rd year in a row, every year want my licence and NCD, although I have been with them. Cheap tactics to make money by making small change. This year it was awful I had 12 years NCD last year and at the time of this year renewal it should be 13 years claim but they are saying it is 10 years. They are refusing their own documents. what a shame! also for driving licence I gave them 12 years licence and but they are so weird and went by months and only for 4 months difference in date said I bluffed with them. Trust me they are clever to snatch money and on purpose ask for small things like issue date of driving licence and make changes to charge £50 at least. They pick people randomly and ask for details, I bet even if they check their 50 % customer for licence issue date they will find 40 % with 2 or 3 months discrepancy in issue date. It is because people buy insurance from comparison website and it is likely you can put an error in months. People don't raise complaint but I make some effort for this wrong doing and will take to financial ombudsman if needed. Also they don't respond to email complaint. It has to be either by phone or post and lines are very busy these days.I call them modern thieves and let people know their cheap tactics. Very disappointed.

I had car insurance from them my car was parked on the road so they charged me high insurance.i moved house and my car was parked off road in my drive thinking mabe they give a discount that's a joke they charged me £44 pounds extra most un friendy women I spoke to ask what cost to cancel my insurance I would get 80 pounds back as I paid 260 pounds for insurance 2 mothe iv used I will get insurance from them again

Worst insurance ever. My car was written off back in November and got a new car and they more than doubled my insurance from £109 to £237 a month for a new car. I've had numerous of complaints against this company as the customer service is beyond terrible with people being rude and cheeky where someone didn't hear me and said I should go to a payphone and others don't know what they are doing. I had to complain to the financial ombudsman service as I wasn't happy with what they were doing and how they handle issues. I've also requested lower premium due to lockdown and they basically refused or will only give one month holiday?! Even with this new FCA law I told them, they just said they couldn't, gave less mileage and said they it will only save me £3 a month?! Ridiculous. I will never go with these guys again when my insurance runs out. Worst company ever. STAY AWAY.

Below “Very Poor” Poor service and attention to information provided on numerous occasions. The Policy Analysis Team clearly don’t understand what they are doing and trying to charge for their mistakes. Bought insurance back in March to start from April 2020. PA team waited nearly a month to contact me (past 14 days within which I could of cancelled the policy) about extra documents they required to validate my policy. All provided apart from the proof of address which I don’t have due to recently moving house. Now trying to get £191 off me to correct mistake they made. Contacted customer service on Thursday 14th May to resolve the issue, just to be told that the issue cannot be resolved and a manager will call me back in the next couple of hours. I’m still waiting for the call! Don’t have anything bad to say about the girl that tried to help me with the issue, complaint is against “the manager” and “the policy analysis team”. Will not recommend 1st central to anyone in the future! Shame considering I never had a problem with 1st Central previously.

Cheap Car insurance but they asked me to upload some documents, Photocard driving licence, Unique DVLA check code and Proof of NCD. And then the same for my Dad who's name is on the policy. Which I already fundamentally disagreed with due to them keeping our driving licenses, making them easily available for counterfeit. But I uploaded them without kicking up a fuss about 10 days before they required all of the documents. I rang up and told them two days later that I had uploaded them and that they were 'Pending Acceptance'. They said it takes 5 working days for them to accept the documents. Fair enough. But I went along thinking they would sort it. I check the website 10 days later and they're still 'Pending Acceptance', I go to my emails and they've cancelled my policy and charged me £75. I ring up on the Saturday and they say they can't do anything as it's a different part of the company that deals with it so I'll have to call back on Monday. I am such a fool for putting my trust in an insurance company.

Have 2 car insurance policies with this company and had 1 due to start during the coronavirus lockdown. Long story short.....Car was due to be picked up and lockdown happened, therefore i didnt need my policy to start for another 4 weeks, when i was due to get my car. I asked them to move policy start date and they said no. Only option was to cancel and pay £50 plus fees. Unfortunately i have to keep this policy until April next year, but i have taken out a newer policy with another company, for my orher car, £45 more expensive but the customer service is amazing and feel like i have been treated like a loyal customer, unlike 1st Central who were not interested in helping, just interested in money.

Unfortunately I can not mark this company a 0 star! I purchased car insurance and they request proof 6 months later in to my policy. They then decided to increase my premium which they left no options to benefit me as a customer. They waited 4 months to return my refund although I had been chasing it up. Customer service staff are no help and do not forward on information to relevant staff so you end up repeating yourself 10000 times. They still expected me to pay an admin fee although I waited 4 months. They will scam you! Do not trust them!

After having been with 1st central for 2 years for my car insurance they suddenly decided to increase my renewal quote by 3.5x!!! They didnt even email me or post me my renewal quote! Maybe they knew it would be a waste of paper but If i hadnt phoned them I would have ended up paying this (which is probably what they were hoping) . Always keep an eye on them if you have a policy or they might just take all your money! Needless to say I have gone with someone else with a quote similar to my origial price. Why do we have to do this every year? especially when 1st Central send out emails saying "Renewing Customers Save Money" ahaha dont make me laugh

shockingly bad do not touch missed a monthly payment they wanted to charge me 35 pounds for the missed payment told them I would not pay they cancelled my insurance and have now bumped the bill up to 135 pounds for cancellationall for one missed payment scam company

A company who offer cheap insurance and then sting you with add on's and an inability to take a direct debit. Try them, but make sure you let people know when it goes sour.

Horrible company that will scam you out of money for nothing! I got the date wrong on a previous crash by a few days then all of a sudden I'm charged 300 pounds for it?
