Wanted to change my car on 15th of May, I was told that the car I bough has 1.8 engine and not 1st central can not insure it because my wife's licence is less than 1 year old. I was told that if I wait until 7th of June, I will get 2 years NCB and £465 pounds refund however when I contacted them on 7th, they told me that I can only have £365 pounds. When I requested them for call listening, they have not bothered to contact me in a week time. I have contacted them several times since 7th and no one has cancelled my policy yet and everyday they come up with a different price. They all know how to mislead the customers and waste their time. I paid £1170 and feel like I never had taken insurance from them.

highly misled by your claims on go compare four star car insurance it is not when you get through to a assistant you are a do you wish to have any of the following personal insurance car legal aid all at a extra cost with very limited use to these terms which misled me to believe that paying the highest premium with four stars ticked at a cost of £347.43 the competitors were starting at£231.36 one star no legal aid no car no personal accident cover no claims cover but on cooling off i contacted the competitor who gave me a quote of £300 94 all set up in 5 minutes did not have to go through all details again which lasted ages with you having to repeat all my details again not a very nice way to carry on all very stress full and confusing may i say i was in my thoughts i was buying a top class insurance not promise of £300 shopping discounts very upset at being misled i cancelled the policy with you and lost £50 penalty clause never have i been sold such a poor high priced insurance with no compassion

Call handler was extremely rude. I'd received a quote online and spent over half an hour going through what I'd already entered online to then be told they couldn't insure me, and he couldn't give me a reason why, just said 'well it looks like you'd best start looking for other quotes doesn't it'.

By far the worst insurance company. Great prices, terrible at everything else. 40 mins waiting on hold. More than once. Ran up a £200 phone bill. Terrible attitude of customer service staff. I will never use this company again.

Terrible DO NOT USE my daughters car was stolen and written off. She was paying monthly. She has been told she has to pay the full year but she cannot transfer it onto another car when she gets one. They told her to get the car out of the pound and not claim but as it has been threre for about 4 weeks there is no way she can afford to all they say is its in the terms and conditions !!!!!Disgusting

Dreadful, simply dreadful. Always wanting some document from 10 years ago. As a driver with 9 years NCD (the maximum available) there should have been much more of a discount. Cancelled within 1 month...

Absolute Rip off. Would give 0 stars if possible. I have had car insurance with 1st central for 2 years and have a 2 years no claims bonus with them. I am currently paying £173 per month for a 1.3 litre nissan micra. I have had an insurance renewal quote of £195 or £1999.95 for the year (£12 more than what I am already paying). I have looked elsewhere for insurance and I have found better and cheaper insurance with a price of £111 per month. I wrote another review on a different website regarding this matter and this is what they said "m sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your renewal. We do take into account your policy details and you accruing another year of No Claims Discount if earnt. Our underwriting criterias to which help us guide and rate risk factors, can change at any point since purchasing a policy with us, to which can affect the premium on new policies, renewal and even quotes for changes on live policies. We try to remain as competitive as possible so our rates change regularly, however in this case, as you have seen it has increased. If you wish to discuss further please contact". I would highly recommend that you avoid this company at all costs.

Disgusting company. I set up insurance with them in 2013 for £410 annually. I have been with them ever since, never had a claim and have 8 years no claims however this year it is £853.38. They apparently sent me an email advising me of this, however it is not in my inbox, so I have asked them to correspond with me via post (they are not able to do this) therefore I have no option than to pay 3 times the amount that other insurers are offering me, and double the amount I started on because they sent the email even if I didn't get it!

I have no claim history for 10 years, despite of the fact my premium has been considerably increased. I asked for a compatible renewal , however, remained disappointed where a promise has been made to reduce the premium by GBP 50.00 however, same price has been quoted. Not happy customer. I am very upset. I have given a very little time to decide, I will not recommend any body to go for them. Never left any such feed backs or review however, this time after having this kind of treatment from IST CENTRAL I have been forced to do so.

I had a policy running ,I was purchasing another car so went online to insure with you.was costing £18.per month ,fantastic .I had a policy already you charged me £91 odds to stop policy .IS THIS HOW YOUR COMPANY REWARDS LOYALTY I HAVE CANCELLED BOTH

Have been with 1st Central for almost 2 years now but have had nothing but trouble. Car insurance prices constantly changing. I am currently paying £173 for a 1.3 Nissan Micra and the renewal car insurance price has gone up to £195 per month. I have looked elsewhere and have found the same amount of car insurance coverage with a different company for £133 per month with my 2 years no claims. 1st Central is the worst car insurance company out there. Would highly avoid at all costs.

Absolutely ridiculous. Bought insurance 6 days ago and 1st have still not updated the motor insurance database meaning that everytime i go past police i am being stopped for no insurance and have to prove myself. Ive been in touch several times to still be told we willl add you but still not on there. Major inconveninece they should be made to upload this data.

I have read a number of negative reviews around trying to cancel ones policy with 1st Central; they are well founded. Conflicting advice was given, no one person took responsibility, no follow up with an email or letter was forthcoming either. I spent over 45 mins on the phone being sent from one department to another with each person trying to stop the automatic renewal. Do not put the phone down until you can see on your portal that this has been done, do not take their word for it, they do not know it is a script they work from and I presume hope you don't check for yourself. On the one hand they ask who you last spoke to on another they do not give out their full name; this begs the question what have they got to hide? No manager was available to talk to me. Thankfully I have never had to make a claim with them. I was quoted £600 for my mini I have got it for £300 with all the add -on's elsewhere. So be careful and look thoroughly at the small print and read the reviews.

Admin fees are so high. Costs loads to cancel. The staff are rude and make mistakes all the time! Think before insuring, just spend a bit more for a good company.

Don't understand how you's work. My first quote from you I got approx £402. A few days later you would not let me retreave my quote. I they proceeded with new quote and I got £617.27. I then phoned one of your guys to tell me there's nothing he can do and I had to settle with that. So I proceeded with your quote with 108.02 deposit with £59.15 monthly payments as needed my car. Now today I checked up on my customers portal to find a £29.payment outstanding. What's all this about??

Just found out details have been recorded incorrectly on my policy and i have to pay extra to get it amended even though I'm in the cooling off period. Customer service is disgusting. Every time i ask a question i get put on hold!
