Wrong decisions after which cctv footage was overwritten and no chance for win claim because of them

This insurer has made me fearsome of trying to communicate with this company. I am having a nasty experience with them and they have charged me £150 in fines. They will find fault two months in to your policy. They will call you and find fault to issue an admin charge of £50. Can you remember from when you passed your driving test 30 years ago what day it was? If not it will be £50 fine! I asked to change my car to another one and they ignored me. I hade to buy another new insurance policy and cancel the one with them to get to work in the new car. I lost £220 in 6 weeks! and many hours sleep.

My insurance ended on 27th December, I tried to turn the auto renew off but it didn't let me. The policy auto renewed for nearly double the price i was paying the year before, I have made no claims and had no claims against me so I don't understand why the insurance has basically doubled in price. Phoned to cancel or get a better price this morning (day of renewal) they couldn't give me a better price and charged me £54 to cancel the insurance that has only been in effect for 12 hours. I am really disappointed and i feel like i am paying for nothing, the customer service was of no help and just wanted to find a way to charge me money no interest in getting a better price to keep a customer. I would spend the extra money and go with a better company.

The prize looks very good when you compare to others. but there is an admin fee of 50 pounds every single time there is any amendment needed. I left immediately .

Unreasonable horrible company, with a clear objective of finding fault to excuse them to fine you, (admin fee) for £50. After a few days they took £150 from me! At one stage I wanted to add my partner as named driver. Unless I could tell them what day of the week she passed her test they would incur an admin charge of £50! She passed her test 31 years ago! Why gocompare still support them I do not know.

Worst company ever. Updates your policy by themselves then asking to pay admin fees even they made changes not you... Will try to catch you on every wording to claim more money.

The worst company, avoid!! Do not fall for the cheap deals given, they will wait until the cooling off period to contact you and advise they need to change made up and false documentation and charge you £50-£300+ for these made up changes. This is how they make their money, and will harass and threaten you with cancelling your insurance. I have contacted the ombudsman regarding this and I am hoping to take further action to put a stop to it.

Had a accident at a weekend only to find out they are only open monday to friday 9-5 contacted emergency number got it sorted only to get a call through the week to say i have to pay 1st central excess amounts of money when it was a non fault notification claim

1st central won’t take no for an answer, they automatically renewed my policy and refused cancellation. Called them several times and emailed them, they claimed they haven’t received emails. I lost £60 for cancellation policy. We should have the right to choose who we insure our cars with without having 1StCentral refusing their cancellation. Still waiting for refund

TERRRRIBLE INSURANCE COMPANY. IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. My policy includes a courtesy car & I was in a non fault accident. They’re refusing to give me the car and keep lying about the reasons. Everyone gives you a different excuse. They’re liars and scammers

They charge even if you you cancel before the policy actually starts. They will make up all sorts of BS to get you off the phone and not help. AVOID.

First of all this hotel is not kids friendly AT ALL. You cannot host 1 kid as a family because there is no room for the kids We had to book two rooms and still sleep with the kids in a double bed. So the kids review claim is bull s***. Then the neighborhood, there are pictures of hookers laying on the ground everywhere. At night these men/girl are everywhere and they use this hotel to earn their money so sleeping is not always possible. Food for short stay , i am a food lover and that makes this food really bad . Not cooked spaghetti , tasteless fries . Quality is not constant but my standard is too high to give a qualification to it. Fries taste like As we have kids cleaning frequency is to low and nothing is supplied to clean yourself. Not enough towels for children which needs to be constantly asked for. Shortage of spoons knifes plates everything. Unapproved entering the room of my wife and children just to check if nothing was taken away … to where? Coffee and fresh juice are excellent however Furthermore as we booked we told them In advance at arrival the room was to small so we need to look for another appartement. After booking with cancellation option the now say last month is not refundable also not with the fine mentioned in the booking (as they decide themselves not to pay): Early Departure: For Monthly stays, either the full stay will be charged or one Month Penalty fees will be charged. So final statement would be NOT TO BOOK THIS HOTEL, Unless you like men dressed as woman in that case i would recommend it and you want to get ripped off.

After 2 months of me being insured with them they falsified information on documents out of their own volition and raised my policy for £500! They didn't even say why! I haven't been sleeping all night. Next morning I call and they say they doubted my occupation so they put me as unemployed. What is false and it was never true! They just made up information and raised my premium for £500! Borderline criminals!!! 🤮🤢 Creating made up documentation! Cannot imagine if person is really unemployed how they can handle expenses like that. But that is other tragic story. Anyway. I would rather pay more with someone else for piece of mind not to work with criminals like 1st Central!

This is the worst company that I've ever dealt with in my life. They just doesn't give a damn about their customers. I had an accident and I've been calling them 20 times in a period of over 5 weeks now, I still haven't even had an estimation, god nows how long will the repair going to take. Please avoid them if you don't want to end up in this situation. Just choose the one which is £10 more expencive, beleve me it's worthed

I am very disappointed by 1st central insurance. Poor website, links not working then website crashed. Charged £50 to cancel a policy within 2 hours, which is extortionate!!!! I will never want to use this company again.

Where do I start? On 29th September 2019 someone crashed into me when I was parked...long story short, it was dragged out, went to court, and non fault claim, in the mean time my car got wrote off and my premiums got raised.... flash forward to now, case has gone in my favour and all the time my premiums were raised, case has been closed, but guess what, after 5 hour calls, and one off them me being on hold for 2 hours to get disconnected over and over again...nothing, when I did get through to someone I was then passed to different departments, customer services, recoveries etc etc and having to pass security several times....my point is, I spoke with someone today 31.10.2022 and I get told because my car got changed, there now refusing to pay me back the premiums they owed me, after being told several times over the last 3 years I would get a repayment....I feel scammed, there is nothing but poor customer service, they are money hoarders and misleading and liars and I am going to make it my personal mission till I get my money back to make sure that all news outlets are aware, all review places are wrote on. Also to top it off, complained to customer services via email and phone and no outcome or reply, when it is my time for renewal, I will definitely NOT be staying with this company and I advise anyone to stay well clear of this company.

What a scam of a company. I had to contact them and once I did they quizzed me to the ground about the details I put in online 2 months ago. Naturally I didn't remember everything and due to this, I was charged 96 pounds. My mileage was out by 2/3000 for the year from what I put down to what I said on the phone. Scam. Scam. Scam. Thieves. Thieves. Thieves. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

In case you make a claim, they’ll do everything possible to declare your policy void. Already know 3 cases of cancelled or declared voided Customer service calls are awful. Impolite and rude. Don’t risk your money on a cheap offer. You,ll end paying thousands in case of claim.

Stay away from this company! I found them via Money Supermarket and they seemed fine until they literally took money from my bank account and tried to send me packing with small print legalities. They are Charlatans. Do not insure your car with this company! Reported to Financial Ombudsman.

I do not have the energy to explain the 7 months of hell I have experienced simply needing my vehicle to be repaired. I enclose my last email to evidence even David Costin the alleged complaints specialist has agreed it’s been shocking service …. Nearly a month ago … and no word from him or 1st Central since … I am now at a point where my mental health is being badly affected - my vehicle is on finance, my insurance still being paid to 1st Central without fail - and I am now no longer able to use the vehicle safely. The Ombudsman has been contacted but whilst I pay out money that as a single mother cannot afford (though who could afford it these days …) I am left ignored or lied to by a company who is seemingly financially thriving. I have no more energy to fight this company and beg anyone reading this …. Please please get insurance elsewhere!
