“Needed an electric door mirror for my Zafira because a "BLIND donkey" driving on my side of the road, ripped mine off and could not be bothered to stop but sped away before I could get his number and report him. Put on my request and within 24 hours had eight to ten quotes. Unfortunately none of them could beat Ebay”

“Hi. The item I was after brought a good response from some ten offers varying in price, location, postage costs and times. This was for an electric power steering motor/pump. It's presentation upon collection was fine. I fitted and bled it with no problems. I road tested the item upon completion and it and the steering system functions as required. Only time will tell the if durability of the part fitted meets expectations. What would be useful where possible is to know the mileage of the vehicle the donor part came from. Inspection of this unit purchased revealed that any fluid remaining withing the unit was clean and the unit was dated as made in 2001, so either it had very limited use or had been regularly serviced. Time will tell but I am happy so far. I am retired now but had my own motor and marine engineering business for many years and still have an active interest in various domains. On an occasion when discussing parts or components that had failed irrespective of whether the item had given good service or not with a main national supplier one of their engineers said that they did not get enough feed back to be able to study failures and reasons. The used car parts culture has certainly taken some steps of improvement and communication in recent years and I wonder if the feedback could not be more focussed. If my comments are of interest than I would be happy to elaborate. Regards John Goddard FIMI”

“I was very pleased with the ease with which my enquiry was handled and also the speed which I was contacted following my enquiry. Unfortunately the prices quoted were far in excess of my finances. That does not mean I won't be using 247 again.”

“Some of the quotes I received were way too high, bearing in mind most people are on a very tight budget which is why we get in touch with 'Breakers' in the first place. There was no way to reply to the emails to say this and see if there was any room for negotiation.”

“I first put my requirements on 247spares at about 11.15 on Tuesday morning and within the next 90 mins I received 6 quotes from suppliers who had what I required. I have yet to take delivery of my purchase but so far my purchasing experience has been a good one. I would recommend 247spares to anyone looking for spare parts for their vehicle.”
