“I bought a refurbished/blemished unit and was very happy to find it essentially perfect. The 9barista works well, though I wish it came with better instructions on how to tell if the temperature is correct and a choice of regular or naked portafilter.”

“This is a delightful espresso machine. I've been previously using a big Italian dual boiler for espresso and was looking for something which produces a shot quickly, economically and reliably. The Moka pots are fast, stovetop driven, but tend to overheat the coffee puck during extraction. 9Barista Jet Engineered... Along comes this 9Barista physics master class in a pot. I love the physics behind the design, it's well made and produces extremely reliable espresso shot after shot and is quick to clean afterwards. My only qualm is that the portafilter cools the shot before I can pour into my cup. I'm looking at ways of preheating this to reduce the cooling effect. Otherwise it's excellent, can't praise it enough.”

“Sub standard in every way. The nickel plating is very thin with brass showing through. The o rings immediately jellied after 6 minutes of use. The burner plates arrived scratched. When asking for a return based on the 30 day warranty, I was ghosted. An interesting idea with really poor execution and service. Not worth the money.”
