“I try to cancel my order from the beginning but it was not possible. The plants arrived in a terrible state: 6 out of 8 almost dead. I plant them immediately but no ways to make them better. Currently, 5 are dead, the remaining are not so good. I am very disappointed, and I've asked for a reimbursement. I spent money and time for an awful service. No reply for the moment !!! Is this a joke selling dead plants? Don't waste your money, go to the flower shop in your neighborhood instead !”
“plants may have been fine when they left, we'll never know. A week later and DPD have finally delivered. Everyone knows DPD are s**t - you should advertise your delivery partners so that buyers can avoid your lamentable service. (didnt stop em asking for feedback days before seeing the plants”
“They claimed to have dispatched my plant. The courier has refuted this and claimed never to have received the plant. Bakker.com were entirely unconcerned with their contract with me and instead told me they would not be refunding or replacing the plant and instead expected me to wait for DPD to find it and deliver it. They acknowledged that this would mean I would likely receive a dead or dying plant, but said they would refund or replace ONLY AFTER I took delivery of the damaged plant and told me that, despite acknowledging my plant has been lost, they are not prepared to arrange a replacement.
Very stressful and upsetting as it is not a small amount of money I have lost and I have now had no option now but to go through my payment provider for a refund. Disgraceful customer service and and utterly appalling business. Best avoided.”
“Received my order today a tray of aquatic plants.They were upside down and delivery label was on the side so had been turned upside down in transit.Plants all smashed and soil everywhere.Clearly they need to sort out their delivery company as I see others have had the same issues.Won't ever recommend or use this company again.Such a shame as they were a birthday present for my Mum.”
“I placed an order for Christmas. You took my money and confirmed. Then you delayed the order and in the new year you cancelled it. I stupidly ordered gifts for Easter, you took my money, confirmed my order and on Good Friday, you’ve cancelled it. Bloody useless.”

Ordered plants, after almost 3 weeks waiting, I have to chase my order, they said still in transit!!!, after contacted DPD delivery, they confirmed nothing received from Bakker. I was very angry and frustrated. I requested a refund they said they will do, hopefully that would be it. As a caring plants enthusiast, I feel very disappointed, and I will never use their service again.”
“Took full payment, plants did not arrive on time, then sent 2 emails identifying various parts of the order that they could not deliver on. i.e. they are selling product they do not have. Then no reply from customer service.”
“Just placed an order online. Five minutes later I received an email saying that the items are sold out and they will return my money within 10 working days. Shocking! They take my money before checking they have the items. Very poor experiece, wouldn't recommend.”

- made a big order, delivery delayed by 1 week
- multiple items were then marked out of stock and not included in the order
- I tried to cancel before the parcel had shipped but they would not let me
- customer service took over three days to get back to me
- I was unable to refuse the delivery because the driver had already market it delivered before I came to the door
- I tried to return it, but was told that I would need to pay for it
- 2 of the tree plants are in terrible condition

“after a previous review of bad service ,i thought i would update.I asked bakker to take me off their mailing list weeks ago, which they said they would.I AM STILL GETTING BROCHURES FROM THEM.Do they actually know what they are doing, does one department not connect to others.I write RETURN TO SENDER on envelope & cross out my name & address.”
“I have received the second half of my order today, (after trying to contact you twice about chasing this with no response). However, I am so disappointed with what I have received from you.
Firstly, one of the jars that you sent was broken in the packaging. As I unpackaged the item, I cut my finger on the broken jar which caused excessive bleeding.
Secondly, one of the plants (alocasia cucullata) has 4 yellowing leaves which i am unhappy about.
Lastly, the other two plants I received (strelitzia nicolai and banana plant) were in an absolutely appalling condition. Many leaves of each plant were either torn, snapped or damaged in some way. To think that these two plants alone cost me almost £80 and to receive them the way I did was hugely disappointing.

“I cannot believe that I have been buying from this company for about 40 years vary rarely an oder arrives intact or correct.
They send free gifts that are absolute rubbish and don't work or are shoddy and fail almost immediately. Also advertise you can win big money, tvs, and All manner of electronic goods, none of which ever appear, I don't think they even know what they are. A waste of time trying for replacements they just don't arrive.
Have spent too many pounds and time on a company which should have been shut down a long time ago.”
