"We are a contractor registered with Checkatrade\r\n\r\nI reduced my membership with them due to the significant lack of leads being sent through from the company.\r\n\r\nOur businesses boasts 5 star reviews so its no reflection of us.\r\n\r\nOn Friday 07\/07\/2023 we were charged \u00a3111.76 for a months subscription. In that month we had only two leads! Thats not actual jobs but but people just enquiring about our business. \r\n\r\nAt \u00a355.88 a lead Im sure you will agree thats a crazy amount of money to be charged for absolutely nothing.\r\n\r\nI have emailed Checkatrade who have failed to reply to me and so unfortunately its a 1* review and a cancellation of a membership."

"I had 4 years of hell home improvements most via checkatrade and checkatrade smiling, who cares eh.\r\nThe tick you cannot trust!\r\nI ended up writing a book about it, I was so stressed! I called the book the cowboy hounds, unfortunately by law I am not allow to name and shame, but they read it with one of their people even posting a bad review about my book though they have not purchased so not read it."

"Checkatrade allowing racism and discrimination damaging the reputation of our business.\r\nMy husband\u2019s successful company with many hundreds of happy customers is Checkatrade's client paying them many thousands pounds per year for their services and advertisement. Yet, they allow racism and discrimination in customers\u2019 reviews trying to damage the reputation of my husband\u2019s business and that\u2019s the only motivation of this particular customer, who wrote a negative sarcastic review, just because he didn\u2019t receive an email reply for 2 or 3 days. My husband\u2019s company did not even work for this customer!! He recently received a negative review clearly based on racism and discrimination for which we have a proof. They changed the feedback and also didn\u2019t publish my husband\u2019s reply! According to their business policies, he has a Right of Reply, yet they didn\u2019t publish his reply, but they published this customer\u2019s review that was based only on racism in order to damage the reputation of my husband\u2019s business, nothing to do with a quality of the work. Then THEY CHANGED THE REVIEW! People should see the original review so that they can clearly see, this customer is only a racist and nothing else. But they changed it. We have zero tolerance for racism. They are not committed to equal opportunities at all and their business practices are very dodgy and totally unfair practices. Later they published my husband's reply but they changed it with some words omitted, now the first sentence does not make any sense. Attached is a reply they changed and they didn't even bother to write a sentence correctly. This is their fault and they are damaging my husband's business and his reputation with this reply they published."

"One of the worst!\r\nDirectories full of diy people who claim to be professionals\r\nCheckatrade refusing to display the addresses if the builders.\r\nFake positive reviews, unpublished negative reviews.\r\nUnhelpful when elderly people encountered serious problems with their traders.\r\nObviously must be greasing the paws of some politicians as complaints against them going nowhere."
