Our new Harveys leather sofa after only a few weeks began to look as if it had been in use for many years. The internal materials began to compress until the shape of the sofa became unrecognisable, the leather has stretched and the overall construction and materials used are poor. Harveys customer service response stated normal wear and tear. If I could rate lower than one star I would. Do not consider buying your furniture at Harveys!

Placed 3 orders with Harveys. 1. Table & Chairs Nov 2018 2. Sofa Feb 2019. 3. 2 Recliner Chairs Feb 2019. All of these items were required for a special event taking place in our home early May, and we had sold all our furniture to buy new. When the table was delivered on 2/2/2019 it was damaged. The original lead time on this table was 2 weeks. However, when I informed customer services of the damage I was eventually told, after numerous phone calls, that a replacement could not be sent until the end of May. I had no choice but to cancel the order. I am still in possession of the table awaiting collection to enable a refund to be made. Unacceptable. The sofa was delivered on the 25/3/2019. It was poorly wrapped and it had been sitting in water so was badly marked, wet, mouldy and rust marked. I rejected the sofa on the doorstep. Since then DHL have refused to confirm to customer services the whereabouts of the sofa. Until that happens I cannot have a refund. I took delivery of the 2 chairs and within a week one of the springs came loose and poked out through the bottom of the chair faux leather. This was repaired by Homeserve but within a week the same thing happened again making the hole bigger. I then requested a replacement. Last week I noticed that a hole had appeared in the arm section of the other chair. I have also requested a replacement. To date, no confirmation of the replacement chairs has been made. So, all in all, Harveys have failed me on all 3 orders. I have been given incorrect information, lied to by customer services, and all because their processess for the above situations DO NOT WORK. I am now out of pocket as I have had to purchase another sofa and table and there is no confirmation of when I will receive my money back. I have made a formal complaint requesting that all my issues are investigated and resolved as a matter of urgency. Harveys need to up their game if they are to compete with other suppliers of furniture. The companies I have gone to to replace the sofa and table delivered within 5 days, sofa delivery was £8 (as opposed to £59 charged by Harveys), and table was free delivery, and there were no issues. If only I had known before I went to Harveys.

Absolutely awful experience so far. Ordered a suite and spent almost £2000. Was told 2 days before by an online advisor the lead time was 6 weeks. This was then confirmed in store 6 weeks. However our order confirmation states 9 weeks because 'this was the only option' apparently! We sold our sofa, expecting our new ones to arrive the following week. I hadn't heard anything, so I called customer service about 5 times, unable to get through to anybody! Spending an hour on hold each time. I was eventually told on the phone that our expected delivery date was 11 weeks after the date we ordered!!! and the lady on the phone was extremely rude and kept reiterating ' Well I have no idea where you got 6 or 9 weeks from'. I have proof of the 6 weeks stated initially on my mobile. I am over 34 weeks pregnant and my expected delivery date is 3 days before my expected DUE date. I am heavily pregnant and have been left with NO sofas. and I might not even have any sofas by the time my baby arrives. This is totally unacceptable and absolutely disgraceful. I feel like I have been lied to just to get our money and there has been no communication since. I will be taking this further.

Still sitting on the floor We were really looking forward to our sofa delivery, I had taken day off work to be in. Delivery guys arrived on time, unfortunately when they went to unload our sofa..... IT WASN'T ON THE LORRY!!! Concorde Logistics (the warehouse company Harveys use) had FORGOTTEN to load it and are now unsure as to where it is. Harvey's customer support are trying to solve the problem but the process needlessly slow. Why can't someone just call the warehouse and get it put on a lorry? Really, really pee-d off. So Harvey's... 1) Where is our sofa? 2) When will it be delivered? 3) Who is going to appologise for this farcical situation? Situation ongoing

Ordered sofa at the end of Feb 19, arranged a delivery date. The ‘sofa’ arrived with DHL on the delivery date and at the right time, however the delivery guy then informed me that it was only half a sofa!!! I obviously didn’t accept the order as why would I only want half! DHL were quite good at this point with a lady ringing up a few hours later to say they were investigating......two days later no further communication from DHL and nothing at all from Harvey’s. I then spent 40mins on hold to try and get through to Harvey’s customer services. Unfortunately the order was in my husbands name and so due to GDPR they were unable to speak with me ( I totally get why in terms of doctors/hospital/police they would only speak to the person but this is a sofa - really??!!) anyway we can’t flout the rules so I asked the lady to ring my husband - who is at work and can’t spend 40 mins on hold to speak to someone to give his permission for Harvey’s to speak to me, and for them to contact DHL as she’d told me that according to Harvey’s records they have had no correspondence from them. I also asked her to check her records as my husband had tried to e-mail to give his permission to speak to me however the e-mail address given on the invoice is incorrect as it bounced back twice! He had then tried to message via their web site which surprise surprise had had no response to. A further phone call to DHL who are checking warehouses in Greece to see if they can find the other half(?!) although not being totally sure they were sent it in the first place........Reading other reviews I do not hold out much hope of a resolution and so will probably have to cancel the order and go to a much more reputable company. Again we paid by credit card and so hoping for some protection as will certainly not be giving them 20% for cancelling an order which they are unable to deliver.

Extremely crappy service and even worse delivery guys. Their delivery guys behaved like goons and misbehaved with me. PLEASE AVOID HARVEYS AT ALL COST...you are better with others.

We ordered a table six chairs and side board in november 2018 the delivery came in feburary 2019 ,the table was damaged in manufacturing and was obviously not checked before leaving the wearhouse also one of the main support beams under the table was split .after a long time on the phone to c/s and new exchange date and promise to call 2 days before was arranged for the 5th of april ,this day came without any contact other from delivery men to say they were collecting table but had no replacent .once again c/s was called and new delivery and exchange was arranged with comfirmation of a call two days before for today 13th april ,a call did come from the store to ask us to arrange delivery ,which comfirmed they have no communication with c/s. Then we were told we were on the delivery list,here we are 13 april 16.21pm no call from delivery after several calls to store where they say they have no communication with the delivery men and no idea where our replacement table is or if its coming at all,the poor guy in the store now has promised to deliver it himself ,if he can do it why cant harveys. We intend to sent all products back and start again somewhere else if the table dosnt appear.very bad service harveys let down the poor colleauges that try to give good service thay are a joke.

We ordered our sofa on November 2nd. We had tests in January asking us to call and arrange a delivery date, which we tried to do. You can never get through. Eventually, the calls and texts started daily asking us to pay, but we didn't yet have a delivery date. I had 3 texts in one day! Anyway, Sofa was not delivered, we had no reason why, although they asked us not to pay until they found out what had gone wrong and they could locate the missing sofa. We were told we could get compensation and it was put on our notes!!! 6 months later we have a sofa. NO COMPENSATION. I would AVOID HARVEY's at all cots. It's not worth the hassle or stress. The C.E.O of Harveys must be so embarrassed to work for such a dreadful company. Had I read all the reviews I would have taken a photo of the sofa I liked and had it made elsewhere!

I would give these guys a zero if I could. 11 weeks of waiting for a sofa; sofa actually went missing somehow. Terrible communication from customer services, nobody had a clue what they were doing. Finally arrived with the corner sofa connections in the wrong place and a missing footstool. Still chasing Harvey's as they avoid contacting you and keeping you in the loop.

BAD we ordered a corner sofa and never showed up we were told it was in the wear house then we apparently cancelled the order 😤

If I could leave a ‘zero star’ review I would! It has been a disaster from start to finish, they had the wrong address 3 times, and said they couldn’t do anything and the sofa would be delivered to a random address 10 miles away. Delivery was given as 5 weeks, and 11 weeks later and several hours spent on hold, the sofa and footstool were delivered. This sounds like it should be the end of the story but it isn’t, the legs on the sofa at incorrect and the footstool is completely wrong. We have been told that if we want to correct their f*ck up, it will cost us an additional £170. We can never get hold of anyone; the staff are incredibly rude. I think the whole thing is disgusting and I really hope people stop ordering from Harvey’s and the store has to stop trading. They are taking hard earned money from customers and are incapable of delivering the products.

I have had to give a star as no star is no an option. Utter rubbish, do not purchase from this company. The corner suite came from a distribution centre in Ayre, it is dropped off in a pod along with other furniture to a delivery company, who are NOT Harveys. This company is not interested when there are problems such as a full section missing to our corner suite. In fact according to delivery guys they never have a day where something isn't wrong. It took us nearly a month of phone calls to the shop as customer services doesn't answer to finally get our missing section delivered. We are still waiting for a repair to be done, a repair of a defect the suite had when it was delivered. They have requested photos of the defect twice, but still no response as to when a repair will be made. In my opinion Harveys is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with regarding customer service and I would strongly advise that you go elsewhere.

Dont order from harveys terrible customer service had a delivery date for the 10/4/2019 phoned up harveys after waiting an eternity told that its dhl who are delivering the sofa but havent a clue when an i dont even know if sofa is ready or not asked for a refund as broke contract then they am trying to keep 20% they can think again im taking this further its disgusting they am quick enough taking your money though out of principle now i want my money back i wouldnt be surprised if this is the next retailer to go into receivership because of how terrible they actually am plus ordered a table an guess what thats not coming either out of stock just great

Avoid at all costs. This company either doesn't give a stuff about its customers, or it's about to go bankrupt. Customer service is almost non existent, the stores don't care "We just sell it mate" Customer service "helpline" puts you on hold for hours, and then attempts to correct things within 12 weeks, but not really. My Advice DO NOT BUY FROM HARVEYS.

Sofa never turned up. Harvey's don't care about there customers. Still waiting 1 week on still no update when my sofa will arrive!!!! Shocking customer service!!!

Ordered a sofa, chair and rug in March. Repeatedly told salesman what I wanted. The rug to be a lulu type in black. An alternative was sent. I checked online and Lulu manufacture does not make the rug in black? Took rug back to shop and had to wait a week and a half for refund processed by the shop over the phone after initially being told the Harvey store wasnot responsible for refunding me!? Received a call from dhl saying delivery from harveys was ready and to book a day for delivery. They could not tell me if the delivery was for the sofa and/or chair? Phoned customer service. Three hours later was answered but told they could not confirm? Phoned salesman in shop who took three days (phoning him daily)to confirm both sofa and chair is ready for delivery. Arranged delivery with dhl over a week ago for Monday 8th just gone, day taken annual leave as told between 7am and 7pm. Got existing sofa removed on Sunday 7th. Was contacted by dhl Monday morning at 10am to be told delivery won’t be taking place and was unable to explain why? Phoned Harvey’s and they couldn’t answer why either? Went to shop Monday afternoon and they didn’t care and said it was out of their hands. I have been ringing the shop, dhl and Harvey’s and no one can tell me what’s happened to my sofa and when a new delivery date can be scheduled? Sitting on floor for third night now and with Easter on the way and family from Australia coming to stay, not to mention my pregnant wife of five months, I’d simply like to say to you Harvey’s....... Thank you very much, that’s the nicest thing that anyone’s ever done for me!!!!!!!!???? I’m still waiting

I don’t usually leave bad reviews however, I think I should warn any potential future customers of the dreadful company. Stay away from them. I purchased a sofa on 9th of January and promised a delivery within 9 weeks. They called me that mid march to say the sofa is ready and I would have to pay the balance and arrange delivery. I have paid and arranged delivery however, their delivery partners DHL called me the previous evening prior delivery that there is a delay (no reason given) and they will call me to rearrange. Since then, I have been trying to speak to customer services at Harveys with no luck. DHL are also unreachable. I understand delays can occur however, the lack of communication and the fact that they dont seem to care after they got my money angers me. Luckily, I paid with a credit card and will be disputing the transaction. Appalling company, shut it down and go home...

Sofa was delivered late & damaged. After a 2 hour wait at the customer service telephone line was informed that there is nothing customer services can do. Would not recommend.

Told one and a half hours before allocated delivery time that my order was not complete. Customer service said it will take up to 72 hrs to complete a warehouse search to see if they can find the missing items. I have been in contact with the store twice to delay the delivery date and been told that my order was. “Sitting waiting for me” I have no dining furniture and nobody appears to be able to do anything about it. All seem to be beholden to the 72 hour warehouses search. To say I am annoyed, frustrated and upset would be an understatement

Very unhappy. Had a delivery booked, but wrong sofa on the van so sent it back.....cannot get an answer fro Harveys or DHL regarding my sofa.....Harveys report they cannot get through to DHL to find out what is happening!!! Who organised that system!!! Fell very pessimistic, when will this be resolved????
