They will not warranty what they sell, very disappointed. They told me to send it back to manufacturer.....That's like my car dealership telling me to take my car back to Detroit. Never again Staples

The customer service at Staples is horrible. I stood in the line at the Staples on East Colonial. The employee acted like I was a ghost. The employees name was Toney. In fact another employee had to ask him to help me. He looked at me twice and put his head down. He wouldn't acknowledge me until another employee asked him to help me. When I asked him about a product he said he thinks it's on aisle 1. He didn't bother to make sure I found what I needed. Online they advertise that they have fans. However, they don't have fans in the store.

On November 27th, I ordered a mini fridge from Staples.ca. After 2 weeks, I had not received any updates. I emailed the company. No response. I emailed the company a second time 4 days later, no response. *as I was checking my account every morning for updates, I noticed a sale on Apple watches (Friday December 11). I clicked on the Apple 5 that was advertised for $299. No size or colour was available for purchase. This, I deemed as a scam to bait potential buyers into buying a lesser watch for more money and this contradicts current advertising laws (I have been on the website obsessively awaiting an update on my order and would have seen this front page ad within a couple hours of its post and these watches are commonly available). I then called customer service and was advised my purchase would arrive on December 29th. On the 29th, there was still no update on my account. On December, 31, I contacted customer service by phone again. I opted for a call back. I did not receive one. I called again the same day. Customer Service advised they would look into the matter and I would receive a response in 3-4 business days. With the holiday, I assumed that would be January 5/6. No response. I called customer service on January 11. I pressed 2 (opting for a callback). I was told that the service was unavailable and was disconnected. On Jan 12, I received an email stating that Staples could not get the fridge and that I should call customer service and discuss an alternative product (again baiting with a product they can not provide). I attempted to call customer service. Again a callback option was not available and hangup ensued. Upon arrival home after work, I called customer service and opted to wait on hold for a representative. After 45 minutes on hold, I was hung up on. I then checked the website and noted the same product (that is not available) is still listed for sale on the website and the company is still baiting consumers to purchase a product they do not have. I still have not received a refund. I still cannot get in touch with customer service. There is no head office contact info to call to complain. And I have invested a massive amount of time and energy attempting to pursue what is clearly a company tactic to offer products that are not available to consumers in an attempt to coerce them to buy a product that they actually don't want.

I was in the Flemington NJ location on Jan 3 I wanted to purchase a new refill for my Dayrunner book. They did not have any in stock I was directed to the kiosk to try and order it. Turned out the warehouse was out of stock. I was told to go to the Dayrunner website and order directly from them. I went on only to find you have to order it through Amazon. I don't have an account with them. I would have appreciated it if the store had told me that. Not very helpful.

Absolutely appalling service.... ordered an item on the 15th Dec from website, which said 'processing' I got fed up with this' so used their web chat now that it was available after the Xmas period only to be told that the item had been discontinued, this was a 2021 diary insert.....no wonder they went bust...

I went to Bridgewater staples to look for a printer. They did not have what I wanted. Called Hyde/Park store. They said they had it Drove 45 minutes away. They did not have it.The manager said she would get one from her husbands store and have it at Bridgewater in morning. Go back to Bridgewater the next day. The manager did not deliver it. Tyler and Eddie who is the manager took care of it. Eddie the manager delivered it to my door that night. That is customer service. Advice: Go to Bridgewater Staples. Don't bother with Hyde/Park Oakley store. That was a nightmare. Glad Eddie took care of it for me! Denise Willhelm

I ordered a Google Chromecast from them, online, with what they advertised as next day shipping via UPS as long as you ordered by a certain time the day before. I ordered the product at about 12PM that day, so I should have it by the next day, right? Yeah, good luck with that. The first inkling I had that something was wrong was the email I got from Staples a few hours later saying my product had been shipped. So far so good, looks like it's going to be on time. Unfortunately there was no tracking information. So, you can't call Staples as you'll spend over an hour on the phone trying to get through. So I chatted them through their website. After 4 days of this I finally find out that they didn't ship it through UPS, and they have no idea where it is. Personally, I think Staples says whatever it needs to to make the sale. Promise anything the client needs to hear so you get that sale, and then if you can't deliver, who cares. If I would have ordered through London Drugs, I would have spent 15 minutes of my day picking it up and I would have had it almost a week ago. So, 5 days later, I still don't have any kind of a traceable shipment from Staples. What a JOKE. I will NEVER order anything from this company again

I was in the store tonight to pick up business card magnets. I looked where I thought they would be, but no luck. I went to the customer service desk and asked where I could find them, and was told to go back to the aisle where I'd just been. Still no luck. I searched and found the item on my phone and went back to the customer service desk so that the lady would look them up by item number, but she just told if I didn't see them, they were out. Both times she responded to me she asked for help from someone at the other end of her color mic. There was no one to help on the floor. I was one of three people walking in circles trying to find items. I left the store, went to the parking lot, and ordered the item online with a one-hour pickup time. It was indeed available. I ran another errand and was notified it was ready. This is incredibly frustrating. The fact that there was no one to help speaks volumes about what Staples think of customers trying to spend money in their store.

Hi Team, This is regarding order# 9902903893. My first order with staples was not delivered though the tracking says delivered on October 12th. As per the customer service team's advice, I have checked in door front, mailbox, leasing office on 13th october but it was not delivered anywhere. On that day over chat, the customer service representative told me that the refund has been initiated and it will be reflected in my account within 7 days. Today(october 20th) when I checked for refund status as it has not been reflected in my account yet, I was informed that the refund has been declined as tracking says delivered. Also I have not signed anywhere as the representative(Tracey) told I have signed during delivery. The representative told she will check for proof of signature with logistics team. Considering the reason that I have not received the item, can you please help me to get the refund for the order# 9902903893 as soon as possible ?

When you try to order an item on sale, they cancel it when the sale is over so that you have to pay full price.

I don't see how this company stays in business. I went to the Staples in Huntington Beach today to purchase a pen, a specific pen, a popular pen. Couldn't find it and couldn't get help so I went home and ordered a dozen on Amazon. I don't really like buying from the richest man in the world, but I'll have my pens delivered tomorrow. BTW, the Yorba Linda Staples is pretty bad too !

I purchased an Iphone 8 from Staples.ca on Dec 2019. My iphone's camera broke down in July of this year and I attempted to have this iphone repaired with Apple under manufacture warranty. However, I was told by apple support that my phone was activated in 2017 and had been out of warranty for over 500 days. I was shocked and explained to Apple that the phone was purchased in 2019, not 2017. Apple support said if I could submit them an invoice with my serial number then they could perhaps claim my warranty. I obtained an invoice from Staples and sent to Apples, but they were unable to claim my warranty. They explained to me that since the phone was already activated in 2017, they cannot validate a secondary warranty as I'm the second owner. Apple explained to me that the phone was either a refurbished or a returned product. When I purchased the phone there was no indication on Staple's website that the phone was refurbished. I also paid for the price of a new phone. I approached Staples and they claimed the phone was new. I escalated the issue to a manager and I requested for a money back for my phone as it's unfair for me to pay for a refurbished phone for the price of a brand new phone. The manager said they would do some investigation with their vendor and will get back to me in 2-3 days. After 8 days of numerous attempts to contact Staples, I finally heard back from them today. The wrote me an email and indicate 1) I never claimed a warranty with Apple, which is false. I tried to claim warranty with Apple but I was denied. 2) Based on my serial number Apple never sold a phone to Staple's vendor, so I didn't purchase the phone from Staples.ca. I was shocked that they would respond me in this way. I have proof of purchase in my email that I bought this phone from Staples.ca. Staples will not issue a refund for the phone and asks me to repair the phone at my own cost. Staples sold me a refurbished phone but refuse to take the responsibility and since then they've been ignoring my calls and emails. I cannot believe that such a big company would treat customer in this manner!

I purchased a chair from Staples and the salesperson sold me on their protection plan. His pitch was you if you have a problem I would not have to deal with the manufacturer, if it's defective just bring it back to the store and we will refund it or replace it. I have had the chair 45 days. That claim is FALSE. My wife and I heard the same thing and when I returned the defective chair they said they don't take chairs back and referred me to the website to file a claim. What did I buy here??? The lesson here is if you have to shop at Staples, DON'T BUY THEIR PROTECTION PLAN! If you have a problem your not any better off than using the manufacturer's.
