Ace hardware is very deceitful in there sales and specials. For 7 years I get these offers and every time I go to use one of them I hear.” Sorry that one doesn’t apply” They just try to lure people in making them think they’re gonna be able to save a little bit of money and then they don’t honor it. whatever it is, I’m buying it’s always excluded. At least that’s what they say. I have looked up many of those items and they are not on the exclusion list. So they are not to be trusted. It is a very dishonest company

Never under any circumstances purchase anything from this corporation's website. I bought a Toro Mower a week ago (order #497679929) and, according to the information on their website, it was supposed to arrive at the local store on Friday. When I called the local store, they said they had no information and the truck with equipment sent from the warehouse was expected on Saturday. On Saturday, my order was not in the truck, and the local store said they knew nothing and couldn't help me. I called website customer service and was surprised to learn that they hadn't even attempted to ship my order and didn't know why this was happening. After my request to connect me with a supervisor, I waited 15 minutes only to find out that there are no supervisors on Saturdays. I have never in my life encountered a more inadequate and unreliable interface than this company's. The site doesn't load, there are endless errors, and it took 30-40 minutes just to place any order. Customer support has no idea about orders and can't even provide current information, let alone address more serious issues. The existing model of relationships with independent stores is obviously unsustainable, and I wouldn't be surprised if they go bankrupt. At the very least, the huge number of people complaining about their work even here will be spared from problems with a corporation that doesn't value its customers.

Do not buy their lowest price "top soil" by the bag. There's no soil. It's mulch pieces--some very large. Store didn't offer to make right. Back to Lowes for me! BTW...tried to upload picture. Won't let me :(

Very Poor Customer Service!! Visited the Rio Rancho location for packing tape. Their website said discounted price $11.99 The uneducated cashier wanted to charge me $14.99. She called over a co-worker for help. WHY DIDN'T THE TWO EMPLOYEES CHECK THEIR WEBSITE FOR THE PRICE??? I informed both ladies that you have to sell at the advertised price. It appears that they are unaware that NM STATUTES: It is unlawful for any person to charge an amount greater than the price that is advertised, posted, marked, displayed, or quoted for that item. A BUSINESS MUST SELL AT THEIR POSTED PRICES!!!! They did nothing for me but waste my time. I left and visited Ace Hardware at 8201 Golf Course Rd NW, Albuquerque, where I was greeted with a smile and told WELCOME. I purchased my packing tape for $11.99!!! I would stay away from Pioneer Ace Hardware in Rio Rancho and visit Ace Hardware on Golf Course Rd NW AND TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS where to shop for QUALITY SERVICE WITH A SMILE...

Ordered a Mr. Kool mini-split from ACE and only received one of the two cartons. It has been several months and I never received the outdoor carton. Had to order a different model from Amazon which arrived within two days complete. Meanwhile I'm out the cost ACE charged to my credit card and both ACE and Mr. Kool are not giving me my refund. The one carton I did receive from Mr. Kool is still in my garage.

The Ace in Okatie SC did not address the problem I had with the paint I purchased. The paint had a film on the top and had a texture when painted on the wall. When we spoke to the manager they were less than concerned with resolving the problem. Terrible lack of customer service!

I went to my local Ace Hardwear store to purchase some paint for a furniture project and ended up also buying several other items. I opened my paint and spent the next 2 hours painting an antique buffet. I noticed immediately that the paint didn’t look like the paint chip. However I thought it would probably dry differently. It did not dry the color of the chip. When I called the store the manager made several excuses as to why this was not their fault. Never at any time did she say that she was sorry this happened and to come back in so they could make it right. She hurled reasons such as lighting in my home, the fact that I probably picked the wrong color, the piece of furniture could have been too dark, etc. I asked if I could bring it back and have it corrected or replaced. Of course I still had the receipt since I had just purchased it. She told me to go ahead and bring it in but she couldn’t promise anything. I also had purchased a water hose that said soaker. I had no idea that the hose wasn’t a “regular” hose until I plugged it onto my faucet. I don’t garden and just need something to water a few water baskets. She said they would not take it back even with the receipt and packaging. She went so far as to insult me by saying that most people have the sense to know what a soaker hose it for. I was absolutely outraged at this point. I told her that I would not be shopping in her store going forward that I would go to Lowe’s or Home Depot where returns are gladly accepted and customers are treated in a respectful way that they want to spend money on their store. She laughed. I have never encountered such poor store management. This is the Davidson NC store. They have forever lost my business.

NEWS FLASH!!!!! The location in District Heights MD / Richie Road store is closing because of a recent break in.!!!!! I entered the store on Saturday morning 6/29, the store had just opened. The sale signs up in the store are reading 50% off everything!! While I was shopping they changed the sale signs to read only 30% off! What in the world is going on? I talked to the manager and he refused to give me the items for the original sale price of 50% off! Also if you shopped out of this location on Friday, June 28th check your receipt because you probably didn’t get 50% off, because they charged the price in the computer but NOT in the store, !!! Yes, I left the items right there! I will never shop out of another ACE HARDWARE STORE again!!! For ACE HARDWARE owners this is called FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS!!!!

I ordered 10 bags of Kamada Joe Lump Charcoal on sale for 19.99 and both times they cancel it on me, it’s usually 32.99. To me that’s false advertising, if you have no intentions to sell it then don’t advertise it to begin with

Buyer Beware: If you are wise, you will not order anything from this online Ace Hardware Marketplace. You will get what they want you to have instead of what you ordered and in most cases the items shipping and handling is high! Their lack of integrity forces you to received items that you did not order. Reason being that they do not want to miss the purchase that you just made, therefore they improvise and send you what they think is close to it! They also expect you to make good on their mistake. Take the item to their closet retail store for a refund less shipping and handling, is what they think. This is felonious, they know, knew and with intentional deliberate acts, sent the wrong product having their own evidence that it was indeed the wrong product. My total was over one hundred dollars. Shipping and handling was forty-nine dollars and change. Now I have to get my bank involved, in their felonious behaviour of not having order and integrity. Knowingly they did this, with no regard for the customer me. This is why we do things as unto the Lord, I am willing to bet my skills and talents to say they wouldn't send it to Jesus! However ACE, but YOU did, because everything that I am, have and are trusted with belongs to Jesus, therefore the did knowingly and unknowingly do it to Jesus! Consumers! Take your business to another, Lord knows I will be careful for nothing as stated, should have pray about something so small, as trusting Ace Hardware Online Marketplace with my business, that will now keep me away from their retail store as well! Trust, integrity, order, compassion, consideration, CUSTOMER CARE. Ace Hardware has none for the consumer. When someone shows you who they are "BELIEVE THEM!!!"

A little over a month ago my daughter broke her key fob for a Volkswagen Jetta. After going to a dealership and the locksmith we decide to take advantage of the Ace hardware auto key replacement that they were advertising. Seems like a pretty good value so we tried the Dublin Virginia store first. My daughter went in alone she is 18 year old and the employee working the kiosk totally dismissed her to the point where she got frustrated and left the store. The Blacksburg Virginia store being about equal distance I decided that I would try this store and initially the service was good they did say they would have to order the key for the Volkswagen Jetta and it'll be in 7 to 10 days. After 2 weeks I started calling with varying degrees of customer service but all saying it hasn't came in yet will call you. Finally after nearly a month I called and after a while they said that the key had come in I didn't ask what day I was just glad to get some traction on this issue. After the manager started grinding the key he said that they shipped the wrong one and they were not able to help me he did Apologize gave me a refund but offered no solution for this problem. I understand one employee at one store having a bad day so this has been two separate locations 30 miles apart this may just be a systemic problem with Ace hardware or the automotive key replacement program may not be where it needs to be. In an event I will not be patronizing Ace hardware anytime soon.

I’m writing this review not because of bad service or products. I have always enjoyed shopping at Ace Hardware in my hometown of Rockport , Texas. I have had good customer service and found products that I have needed. However, on my most recent visit, I saw a large display of political hats and other items For Trump and His slogan of make America great again. I feel this is entirely inappropriate. I will no longer shop at Ace Hardware in Rockport , Texas.

So sad I try to support this local store but when the manager has such an indifferent, cold, arrogant attitude I ask myself WHY? One of the main items I purchase at Lutz Ace is armadillos repellant pellets. I use the coupons and rewards $ I receive from all my purchases. So June 2, I put in an online order for 4 bags of the pellets. I know they sell out of it fast and only stock 1 bag, however I assumed they would just order it and call me when my 4 bags came in on Thursday as in the past. I received an email soon after indicating the order was cancelled. So I called the store and talked with them about it. I also asked if my coupons would be “restored” bc there was no indication of that or if I would be losing the $25 rewards and coupons - to no fault of my own. The man who answered was so kind he told me to come in with a paper copy of the $20 off $100 and they would take care of that and my $5 reward I earned and had applied to this order. Went to the store and talked to someone at the check out desk…he said there was nothing he could do about the situation bc he has nothing to do with the website??? I told him I called THE STORE not a number on the website and was told to come in they’d take care of the situation - that’s when he arrogantly informed me that he was the manager and he has nothing to do with the website. Questions: Aren’t they both Ace Hardware and wasn’t the online order cancelled bc he didn’t have 4 bags in the store?? If that is the case then yes he does have something to do with this and could have told me to wait or to go home while he called to see what could be done. BUT NO. He had no desire to try resolve this. It was so frustrating that he just said the same thing over and over thinking I didn’t understand - yes I understood - he wasn’t willing to go above and beyond to try resolve this situation - Management 101. Especially when this was no fault of my own! BTW He would have gladly order 4 new bags today for June 3 without resolution or the other option he said was to wait until next month to get my new coupons and rewards???

I purchased a Oregon chain saw from Ace. The price online for pickup was $22.69. When i got to the store, the tag on the shelf was $22.69. When i got to the register, the price was $26.99. Be careful of bait-n-switch. I put a review on the Ace website. They deleted it. I won't purchase from Ace again. SCAM.

We rented a rototiller from your Linglestown store. The one blade came off when we tried to use it. It didn't dig very well and this was ground that was already dug up from last year. The young guy who waited on me when I returned in right after this happened was very argumentative and blamed me for breaking the blade. He only gave me half my money back. I wouldn't recommend renting anything from your store since we were treated this way.

This store does not honor their coupons. Very disappointed in this part of their service. Since they are locally owned they can choose rather or not to participate in mailing coupons.

Approximately three years ago I come into the new Aces hardware store on Indian Trail in Spokane, Washington. I was kinda excited, it was kind of a new store. However, it was built-in an awkward place in West and should not have been built there. If I was a inspector planner. I would never allow that building to be built there. On our proximately 3 to 4 years ago I walked into aces hardware. I asked them if they could help me and every person at work here was not experience. I felt like I wish i'd gone to get. They helped I needed it even finding a part that had to do with sprinkler repair painting brushes anything.. Don't expect help get aces hardware. This is what you'll get when you get at Ace's hardware. Excuse me, sir, can you help me find a paint brushes that will work For acrylic application. At 22 0 girl goes. Yeah, yeah, and she falls me. And we go to the paintbrushes She knows nothing and directs me incorrectly several times I left I came back to get some sprinkler repair kits to rebuild my sprinkler. They directed me in correctly again. In one individual I really noticed was a extremely high-dose of violence and judgement. His name was zero, he had tattoos and he was very rude mental capacity of maybe a 10 year old. I asked him if he could help me get to sprinklers. Repair kit, and this is what he said. Duh the da da Dada. We don't want you duh in the store anymore. Because you're smarter than we are, and we don't feel comfortable. Show me You are smarter than us, and we know. We're really dumb We asked you not to come back to this store. Because you're showing us that we're really stupid. And we don't like that show, sir. Do you not come back to the store? And make us look dumb even though you know, more than us. I'm, i'm thinking for a minute. Wait a second, you're gonna tell me not to come back to the aces hardware store on Indian Trail. Because you don't know anything about your. You're merchandise in the store, and I'm no more than you. So you're gonna kick me out? I wasn't rude, I'm honest. In my judgement, you do not wanna go to this store. Unless you want to get in, feel really sad 😔 😟 🙁 😥 You're the worst Store I've ever been to regarding hardware. I wanna hear about the story down on Francis. On Indian Trail aces, it even gets worse. They're so immature there's no growth upstairs no brain 🙄 Alert alert do not go to aces hardware stores. Unless you're a really in an emergency, and even if you are don't buy and spend money, they're in support. A corrupt store of racism go to I suggest home depot. Let's stay away from aces unless you're mental. Everything I say is factual I do not lie. I am a christian aces is the worst don't go Don't spend your money here go somewhere else thank you

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this store. As a small business owner myself, I was dismayed to be followed around the premises, which felt like an undue suspicion of my intentions. Upon researching further, I discovered numerous similar complaints from other customers, suggesting that this is a recurring practice by the owner. It's unfortunate that one cannot shop comfortably without feeling harassed. I initially missed that the store is listed under 'Ace Gardens' on Havana rather than 'Ace Hardware'. Had I read these reviews earlier, I would have chosen not to patronize this business. After identifying that the store owner Alex Headley was the person following me, and realizing this behavior might be profiling, I am considering taking further action
