“Was insured with Admiral for many years on a multicar policy. I had some no fault claims and they were very good in handling these.
I always had to call at renewal time to get a fair price.
Got rid of a car recently, so only wanted to insure one, the renewal was for 2 cars, 1@ £220, 1@ £180, the car I was keeping was £180. I had to call so that the other car was not renewed, then the price for the remaining car went up to about £230. I had already got a quote on Confused for £150, but Admiral would not budge on price (in the past they would not price match, but would usually get somewhere close, within about £20 and for ease I stuck with them) but alas not this time, so Aviva it was for me.”
“All went well until the renewal , I received a renewal price indicating a saving on last year, so I thought that was ok but I checked and received a cheaper quote elsewhere and proceeded with the new company . I could only cancel my renewal with Admiral by phoning them. At which point they offered a cheaper renewal price, so frustrating and time wasting. Why can’t these insurance companies just offer the best price at renewal?”
“The cover was good with lots of options but when it came to renewing my insurance, they were offering double what their competitors were and could only bring it down by £100.
The customer service was good and friendly but be aware that they won’t be your long term insurer and are not very competitive.”
“I was left on hold to get through to the cancellation department. I then redialled again and spoke to the payment department that answered straight away. . I spoke to Hlamulo that said she will not leave me, but will speak with a colleague in the canx department and stressed Weill not leave me. SHE DID. Again I aimlessly just held to no avail..!!!! Totally disgusting. I will make sure I let everyone know this is happening”

A quick price comparison search provided me with a renewal elsewhere that was actually cheaper than last year!”
“Very good at first, very helpful, but once not a new customer premiums double & staff not very helpful or polite in finances department. Looking at reviews of this company it seems to be a continual pattern, others obviously have experienced the same issues”
“No proper details during registration to explain hidden charges. I was given additional charge with threatening messages. The auto renewal was at almost 100% increment. The charges were so exorbitant. At the time of exit wrong information was sent to me about claiming.”
