Anglian Home Improvements built my conservatory and later I found the foundation of the conservatory around one corner was sinking and projecting away from the brickwork below the DPC layer. I reported this to Anglian in July 2022. However, despite my many telephone calls and emails, Anglian failed to initiate remedial actions. This quickly led to cracks appearing in the conservatory brick wall and for the floor tiles to crack. That part of the floor was felt to be wobbly – we felt, for the risk of collapse, it was dangerous to use the conservatory anymore. We were concerned using the garden as a potential collapse may injure someone. Just due to my persistence, I was able to persuade Anglian to start remedial actions in June 2023 – almost a year after my initial reporting this to Anglian. At the time, Anglian found that one arm of the conservatory lacked a foundation at all!! The whole wall on that side had been built on a long lintel without any under support!! Substandard foundation endangered the health and safety of my family (and all who used the conservatory). I had to spend lot of my valuable time to convince Anglian that they need to rectify this (lots of emails, phone calls, etc). Anglian left the premises without redecorating the rebuilt walls and left the entire area dirty. I had to pay and redecorate the conservatory, apply mastics, and clean. However, Anglian has so far failed to reimburse the extra expenses that I had to bear. Although I complained to Anglian through emailing AnglianCustomerEngagement@angliangroup.com and telephoning 08001313356, I am yet to hear from them after more than 6 weeks. Last time I rang them, the customer service officer advised me that Anglian have contacted their regional office before and that Anglian cannot do anymore to help and asked me to contact their CEO!!! I have already reported Anglian to Trading Standards and The Glass and Glazing Federation. I think the bottom line is Anglian only ‘takes the jobs’ from customers. They then hand them over to their regional offices. Anglian as no oversight of the work they do (otherwise how could they miss the absence of a foundation!!). As such, although the customers assume they have given the job to a company with a name – the company (Anglian) has no idea how the job is done. Therefore, the work cannot be depended on. More importantly, when an issue arises, I found it was extremely difficult to reach them. Even when you reach them, their responses are frustrating and disappointing and delayed. I felt the management team had no idea as to what they are doing or supposed to do. Going through the Trustpilot reviews, most of the happy customers are, in fact, still in early parts of their journey with Anglian (and I feel sorry for them, as they don’t know what is to come!!). Like them, I was very happy at their ‘selling phase’. But negative feedback is almost all from the customers who have had the jobs done and experienced how bad their jobs are. A score of 3.9/5 after 30,000+ reviews with 21% giving either one of two stars is bad enough. Please read this and reconsider giving Anglian a job. You can get a better job done through so many others. I will NOT RECOMMEND Anglian to anyone. Don’t risk your money and your safety.

This is my second review of Anglian ,if I could give them 0 I would. After having my windows fitted at the end of march I had to have a window refitted as the window fitters did not fit the lead flashings behind the window so if we had a good down pour then the rain would come in. After several months of trying to rectify this I finally had it refitted only due to the inspector coming out and the installation manager. But also on the initial fitting the installers damaged my bath . After 4 months of constant calls and emails I finally got an insurance claim number . After being told that they had people who would come and repair my bath I was asked to get an independent quote to which I did . Now after several emails still no one has come back to me . Anyone looking for new windows or doors steer clear of this company maybe lack of customers is the only way this company will learn .

I spent a lot of money on new windows and doors for the property. I paid extra for there self professed "industry leading warranty". Now there are issues several years later, they are saying there is no guarantee - disgraceful, be warned.

Terrible customer service 2 broken appointments, each time i had to ring to see if an engineer was coming out as i had condensation on 2 windows each time was told that the engineer had gone home sick. Twice i was told someone would ring me back for a further appointment but no one rang, still waiting. Don't use after they have got your money they don't want to know.

Absolutely rubbish service!! I’m based in London and dealt with Erin Hilliker in admin and her manager Nick. Both full of Rubbish!! I can’t believe I have invested over £13,000 in windows and doors. I’ve had issues with these products within a few weeks of installation. Yet, Nick and Erin don’t want to deal with it as they already have your money! Please stay away from this over rated company!!

Terrible customer care and guarantee is only helpful if you're happy to wait weeks. 3 weeks with a door that won't lock and several mistakes made. Our door stopped locking on a Thursday, I called straight away, the earliest they could come out was the following Tuesday, fine. The engineer measured the door and left saying they will call within the next 2 weeks. I called again straight away, they booked me in for the following Thursday to fix, 2 weeks with an insecure house is not ideal, but fine. Engineer came with the wrong part🤦‍♀️ and left, door still not fixed. I called again straight away, they rebooked me for the following Monday.. engineer came with the wrong part AGAIN. I called again straight away and they said they'll send someone out on Thursday. Three weeks with a door that won't lock and Anglian wouldn't cover the cost of a locksmith to get it locking until then. On top of that everytime I have to call it takes at least 20mins to get through, when I did get through the last time, and spoke to managers Lee and Carl, they were dismissive, rude, and had the cheek to question why I had got uptight by the last conversation. I think after three weeks and two messups I was perfectly within my right to be cross!

Read their Terms & Conditions and The Consumer Rights Act before you have anything to do with this appalling unprofessional Company. We WON our case in The Small Claims Court in June 2023 and were awarded return of our deposit, costs and interest on deposit. We paid 25% deposit in April 2021 and Anglian failed completely in undertaking any of our orders. We were left with no alternative but to sue, which was extremely stressful and hugely time consuming especially as we are both in our late 70s. That’s why I said earlier check your rights and pursue them, they do not deserve your business. We had one of our orders completed by a local tradesman, who has done a perfect job, and saved hundreds of pounds. I reiterate beware of this unprofessional appalling company.

Customer service is beyond awful. As just one example arising today, it has taken three years to replace a simple window that failed under warranty. Promises that an engineer will come out are repeatedly broken, leading to wasted days staying in and cancelling other engagements. Today we phoned three times - at 10, 12 and 2 - to check that the engineer was coming as promised. Only at 2pm, after we had stayed in all day, did the receptionist admit that he had cancelled. This is typical of our experience since the installation. The time taken to correct problems under warranty is measured in years and not months, and only then when many hours are invested in chasing broken promises.

Pressure selling tactic with my dad who is 80 with Alzheimer's. Quote a price of £7500 if we sign up for the windows there and then of £9200 of not. Said we would like to think about it and please email the quote. The quote is for £7500, so much for the mysterious disappearing discount. Area manager calls me the next day and acts very surprised this is what we have been offered and is there anything he can do to make it right. He is lucky I was so polite.

‘NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE’ - that was the verdict of the independent Single Joint Expert that Anglian got to choose….. ‘In my opinion the works to install uPVC doors and windows fall below the minimum standard of workmanship detailed by the Glass and Glazing Federation and compliance with Building Regulations via FENSA; these entail a minimum technical competence scheme for which installers can be registered by a card scheme. Anglian Home Improvements appear to have not complied with these minimum standards and as a result have not provided windows and doors that are fit for purpose.’ I have been left with leaking, draughty and mismeasured units for 3 years. They lie through their back teeth, forge documentation that has already been submitted to Court and forged my signature on an alleged electronic document. Just waiting for our final substantive hearing. They tried February 27th 2023 to get an injunction to stop me from posting on social media and review sites but they had their case dismissed. WHY GAMBLE WITH YOUR HOME ? You could be one of the lucky ones or one of the thousands who are members on Facebook of ‘Anglian Home Improvements Dissatisfied Customers’

Vile person who calls up and pressures and abuses the other person into commiting to a quote. When the person says "no", they accuse the person of being "unwell" and "not okay". What the hell is wrong the person in charge of trying to get business?

I have used Anglian extensively for many years with no complaints from me and have recommended them to friends. However after they fitted guttering at my property, while the fitter (self employed) did a good job, Anglian used a subcontractor to erect the scaffolding. I complained to the Anglian supervisor about the behaviour and poor attitude of one of the scaffolders and asked him to keep and eye on them for me (as I was recovering from a strike) and asked him not to say anything to the scaffolders about my complaint but he went to the head of the scaffolding company and this person immediately came to find my and I was intimidated by him. I reported this intimidation to the Anglian supervisor and said he should not have caused this anamosity but it was too late. I will never use Anglian again.

Rang to get a quote to take a window out and get patio doors. Email received to confirm, phone call to confirm thought it was going well. Finally call, got my name wrong, got the time wrong and then asked to do the appointment on Microsoft teams. How can you measure and quote a job properly on teams , wish I had read the reviews before I even started with these jokers

AVOID AVOID AVOID at all costs!!! Absolute cowboy company who once they have your money will not resolve or comply with any warranty! Contact me directly and I’ll provide a rundown of over 4 years, 8+ engineers, dozens of emails, dozens of calls… yet our £3,000 door/frames still not replaced when Anglian have confirmed themselves in writing it’s a manufacturing fault and would be replaced! They treat customers with utter contempt!! Small Claims / County Court action is only way to hold them accountable - Name the Directors as the Responsible Company liaison and that will go on their personal record and against future directorships! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!
