AVOID AVOID AVOID at all costs!!! Absolute cowboy company who once they have your money will not resolve or comply with any warranty! Contact me directly and I’ll provide a rundown of over 4 years, 8+ engineers, dozens of emails, dozens of calls… yet our £3,000 door/frames still not replaced when Anglian have confirmed themselves in writing it’s a manufacturing fault and would be replaced! They treat customers with utter contempt!! Small Claims / County Court action is only way to hold them accountable - Name the Directors as the Responsible Company liaison and that will go on their personal record and against future directorships! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

I had a room window installed by Anglian 2 years back. As my house is on a busy main road, I paid extra to have triple glazing windows so that I get minimum noise. The installation was done fine but there was no noise reduction compared to the 15 year old window they replaced. Since the installation was done 2 years back, I contacted Anglian many times and they sent 2 engineers to check the window and both engineers mentioned that there is a lot of noise coming from the windows despite being triple glazed. Posted a review 1 week back and got a reply from Anglian that a local team member will contact me in 2 days. Never got a call or anything, I am sure they will not contact as they have not done so in the past 2 years. I will surely get a call in 15 minutes if I want to place a new order but never to fix an issue which is pending for the last 2 years. After waiting for months, got an email from Anglian that another engineer will visit my house to check. It was mentioned in the email that the previous engineer who visited twice was a trainee :) what a shame. This time they will send an experienced engineer. Really? Anglian are sending trainees to resolve customer issues and make them suffer for years, excellent. Every time I post a review, I get a message from Anglian that they have requested the local team to reach out and give me a call. Why this lie as no one ever called me since I posted my first review on 25th Jan? or your local team is not bothered to resolve issues and only wants to sell faulty products. BTW: There is a huge fan following for Anglian and a group with around 4000 members on Facebook called "Anglian Home Improvements Dissatisfied Customers". People same like me are disappointed and filing court cases for the faulty products they have received and have been waiting for months/years without any resolution. I would advise anyone who is planning to buy anything from Anglian should visit the above page and read actual customer reviews before buying.

ANDRE IS A THIEF. DO NOT TRUST HIM. He tricks you into putting down a deposit, saying it’s fully refundable, then the communication stops. We decided to cancel and were told we’d get a refund - nothing has come through and this was over a month ago. 3 phone calls, 3 emails, 2 complaints - nothing, not even an acknowledgment. Your complaints procedure says you’ll respond in 5 days - yet another lie. ANGLIAN, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED. This is now a legal matter.

In January 2023 I had a quote via Teams for a new conservatory roof. It felt like a Uni lecture about the company history that was never going to end and the salesman wanted to renew the whole conservatory instead of just the roof even though it was perfectly fine. The quote magically reduced in price if I was willing to sign up to various ways of advertising the company. I explained numerous times I was getting quotes from various companies and would contact them if I wanted to go ahead. I felt they tried to scare me into signing up straight away by saying the price was only valid there and then. The next day I had 2 calls and a text from the salesperson. I responded by saying I was still getting quotes (they were already aware of this). I then had a call from a different number. This person explained he was the boss. I hung up. This was followed by the original salesman calling again and denying any of the previous calls. Over the last week I’ve had almost a dozen calls from 07764 929595. The first call tried to give the sales spiel but I explained I had nothing to discuss with them. After a further couple of attempts I blocked the number. It is clear they are using unfair tactics to coldcall people as the number has continued to call even after being blocked. When I attempt to text the number nothing goes through so I doubt the number is actually a mobile. Yesterday I had another call, this time a woman trying to explain she was from Anglian. She would not answer when I asked how they were managing to call me on a number I had blocked. I’ve not had this issue with any of the other local or National companies I’ve had quotes from. DO NOT GET A QUOTE FROM ANGLIAN - YOU WILL GET MONTHS OF NUISANCE CALLS!!

NEVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY. You will regret it. Timeline of events 1st October 2021 we contacted Anglian Windows to replace our original sash windows for double glazed sash windows - one set upstairs and one set downstairs. 5th November 2021 we contracted Anglian Windows to do the work and paid deposit of £2386 (total cost would be approx £11,930). 7st December 2021 survey took place for the windows 1st April 2022 scaffolding put up - all good so far! 10th May 2022 installation started, old windows ripped out of ground-floor windows. End of day the installation was halted by us. No installation took place for the upstairs windows as the downstairs windows were clearly wrong size - we lost 37% of the glazing size and the room was significantly darker 10th May 2022 Anglian admitted their mistake and said they would remeasure, replace and reinstall new windows at correct size. Surveyor quickly returned to measure up. We agreed to this solution. From 10th May until 3rd August, we constantly contacted the local depot and customer services to understand the install date. Sometimes calling every day, with no answer. No information was given whatsoever and on the majority of occasions, not a single call back. 3rd August customer services told us to email CEO complaints. We did this. No reply given. Mid August, we spoke to the local depot responsible for the windows and we were informed that the new windows HADN'T been ordered and it would take another 3-6 months. This conversation was rude, and upsetting and when we put the phone down we received a pocket dial from the depot manager who we heard call my husband a ' f****ing see you next tuesday' in front of his whole office. At which point we made a formal complaint about the service received, and were reallocated to an area manager. This area manager verbally agreed to a £2000 discount for the works and guaranteed that the windows would be installed in January 2023. October 2022 - they came to box the internal windows back in as it was a total eyesore. They saw this as a 'gesture of goodwill'. 7th November 2022 - scaffolding still up on our house after being up for 6months. We started receiving complaints from our neighbours. Early Jan 2023 - we received a call to say 'there may be an issue with our new windows but they were doing all they can to get windows in on date they promised'. 20th January - install date but no one showed up or contacted us. A few days later we received a call to say the windows had been mismade AGAIN, and that installation wouldn't be until 24th April 2023. The area manager was sympathetic with us, and said we'd received terrible service. He admitted that if it were him in this situation, he wouldn't go ahead with window installation. He agreed a refund on deposit was appropriate and would pass us over to insurance and compensation team to repair the damage to our house. From this point, we didn't hear anything from them, despite nonstop chasers. We were then sent a letter by the company solicitor saying that they would refund us our deposit and come collect the windows on confirmation of this offer (within 13 weeks). This would leave us with a gaping hole in our house and damages to our house. We have had back and forth from the lawyer, but every time the only solution they offer is a refund on the deposit and they'd come collect the windows. As you can see this not only has caused us significant distress, a huge amount of time lost (literally hundreds of calls and emails), financially worse off (we originally planned this in 2021 to avoid rising energy costs) and we have not had a single realistic solution. We are now forced to repair the damage they caused (professionals have told us they removed parts of the windows that we will now have to pay to replace) at a significantly higher cost. 1.5 years later, we are left with windows we do not want, distraught at the communications they have given us, and not had a single offer of compensation since. We have never had such horrendous service from a company before. Thinking of using Anglian? Run as fast as you can away from this company.

Do not go near Anglian Windows. I had a site from their representative on 19 January. The visit lasted almost three hours. More than half the time was spent on the company's history and accolades. It was extremely difficult to nudge her into talking about the windows. It really felt like attending a time-share presentation. When we moved on to the windows, it was very clear to me that the sales representative understood very little about the mechanics and what might work for each window space (eg whether we could have cord and weight or spring-balance sashes, or double-swing mechanisms). At the end of the conversation, she still had not understood that we wanted timber frames rather than UPVC, despite my repetition of this from the start. There was endless reference to the 'prestige' windows offered by Anglian, but no flexibility in their designs and finishes. ('Prestige, maybe, but not bespoke.) The price started at £62,000. When the rep saw the reaction from my husband and me, she quickly found 'discounts' (mostly involving free advertising for Anglian) that magically brought the price down to £43,000. I was also told that prices were set to rise in two days time. Unsurprisingly, I decided not to proceed with Anglian Windows for my window replacement. I found a company whose owner has been able to give me all the information and reassurances I need, including a lengthy visit to the company manufacturing the windows, and custom-made replacements for some bay window sections to retain as far as possible, their original look. All for a considerably lower price than Anglians (even with the 'discounts'). Since then, I have had five texts from Anglian, despite replying 'stop' to each one and attempting to block the number. They seem simply to use another number - often the sign of a disreputable company. Anglian then phoned me, about two weeks ago. I told the representative very clearly that I had chosen another company to install my windows, and even provided the name of that company. He sniffily told me, 'I've never heard of them', but agreed to remove my details from Anglian's data list. This morning, I received another telephone call from Anglian pressing me for information about my intentions. To try to get them off my back, I have been forced to write to them instructing them to remove my data from their records and threatening them with the Information Commissioner if they don't comply. In summary: Based on my experience, Anglian will require a site visit of several hours, most of which will be spent talking about the company rather than your windows. (We managed to reduce it slightly by refusing to watch the video about the company.) Their representative is a sales person who knows little about the details of which windows are appropriate. There will be very little flexibility in styles or finishes. The price will be sky-high, but will magically come down by about a third if you don't accept it immediately, although you will be warned of pending increases in their prices. Finally, even after you have confirmed that you don't want to proceed with them, they will continue to hound you with texts and phone calls. (Like The Terminator, they will not stop until you are dead!) Look elsewhere for your new windows.

Very pushy salesman, giving me a 2 hour deadline to sign or prices will go up, paid deposit and promised surveys done in 3 days! Obviously this was false! Canceled order lets see how long it takes for deposit refund! Anglian were a good company 10 years ago, definitely wouldn’t recommend now!!

Dont touch this company at any cost! Had 3 windows fitted in 2021 Was told in March windows would be fitted in 12 to 14 weeks. Finally fitted in September! The kitchen window is south facing so gets the sun on it most of the day from March until September. So far we have had 5 units replaced due to either scratches, finger prints or dust inside the unit. These show when the sun shines on the glass. Anglian Windows just said they will fit one final unit and that will be it! Bearing in mind you pay more for Anglian windows than other companies you would thing you were paying for better windows. No one gets back to you, you can never talk to anyone. 2 years on and still not satisfied. This company used to be the best but now just don't go there.

Over promised, under delivered.. We wasted over 2 months of our time trying to purchase new windows and doors with Anglian. As soon as the deposit was paid everything started to go wrong. They told us they couldn't deliver on the style or glass we agreed so they wanted us to downgrade our design to double glazed for a pathetic £400 reduction in price. The Surveyor lied and said it was somthing to do with UV building regulations so we checked this out and of course it wasn't true. The Surveyor also told us the quality of their double glazed was 'as efficient' as our 25 year old windows which was confusing. We desperatly wanted answers however, communication was so poor that it resulted in us emailing the CEO Martin Rutter to try and resolve the issue however, they failed cooperate and consequently lost a £20k sale.

I had new windows and a front door fitted in Dec 2021. From Jan 2022 the lock mechanism on the front door would not work, effectively trapping my family inside the house. It's now Oct 22 and 4 no show engineer appointments, 2 mis-placed parts excuses and countless daily phone calls to them and yet still no further along. I'm still having to climb out of the downstairs window to leave the house on occasions. Just appalling after sales. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. I wish I had read this review and many others all saying the same thing about your front doors, I am having the same problems, you don’t seem to realise if I had a fire and I couldn’t get out it would be your companies fault, has this got to happen before you will admit the door is faulty, I keep being told “ well you signed for it “ I hadn’t even had the door a day then. In October 2022 I had a replacement locking mechanism fitted and a couple of days later I was on the phone again as I couldn’t get out of the door, fitter arrived the next day and of course the door opened, only to be told “ it’s working now and there’s nothing I can do unless it doesn’t work for me “ Well I have just had a manager come to see the door and he shut it and couldn’t open it up again, how pleased was i that someone from Anglian had the same problem, only to be told again “ you signed for it “

I ordered a number of windows and a door in December 2021. By October 2022 they were still not fitted and I had to threaten court action to get my money back! Do not go with this firm they scam you. I could not cancel the order because of the contract and I would lose some of my deposit money. Ten months later after reporting them to the ombudsman and threatening court action I finally got my full deposit money back! I have since gone with a local firm that has cost me half the amount of money to have my windows fitted and I am so pleased with the results. Get legal advice if you have a contract with them and customer services have not been able to rectify your issue! It’s been a long 10 months and a hard battle to get my money refunded!!!!

If I could go zero stars I would, I was conned by Gaynor and Marc just before Christmas, offered me a knock down Christmas deal on a wooden front door and I paid a deposit which turned out to be on a PVC door- miss sold to me in a bid to boost Christmas sales and I am still waiting my refund on 25th January after I cancelled it there and then on 20th December. Massive corruption and blatant scam of cash before Christmas, I am waiting for a refund of over £350 and the company is terrible at dealing with complaints, I had to email again today having given them the 21days they guaranteed refunds in after they reopened their offices after Christmas and now they are saying they are looking at it. Please do not give these people your hard earned money especially as times are difficult at the moment without all the stress they cause you in chasing, empty promises and corrupt sales people, it sucks and has caused me a hell of a lot of anxiety, it ruined my mental health over Christmas worrying and I am no further on. The stories you hear about scams and these awful people in this company are all true and I wish I hadn’t trusted them and looked at the reviews before buying into their offer. I feel upset and exhausted with it, honestly makes me want to cry! I needed a front door, told Gaynor I couldn’t afford the first lot of quotes! She obviously didn’t care! Then she said to find another £3k to pay for the door I wanted …… I said I couldn’t afford it in the first place so she quickly went off the phone when I asked for deposit refund! Atrocious and unkind people!

We had a "Living Space" built by Anglia in March 2022. Although there was an existing base there Anglia's Surveyor did not raise any concerns and approved the installation to go ahead. However after a couple of months we had issues with windows and doors not shutting or locking properly and despite several visits from them it got worse. We then noticed a gap appearing between the new wall and the house. Anglia then blamed the base and now refuse to rectify the situation, quoting clause 6 and 16 of the contract. So a £32,000 installation is unusable, unsafe and unsecure. Anglia were chosen because of their perceived professionalism but we have found their after sales service totally unacceptable. Be warned, go to a local well renowned Company - we wish we had. We have lodged complaints with the trade associations and have primed Solicitors if this does not work.

BUYER BEWARE! I placed an order, but had to cancel due to financial reasons. This was done 1 day outside their 7-day cooling off period. No survey took place, meaning no windows went into manufacture. I have spent 2 months trying to get back my £199 deposit - only to be threatened with legal action, should I pursue my claim through Small Claims Court. I'm totally shocked by the treatment of this firm - thank goodness I didn't go ahead with my order!

The product ie windows are solidly made UPVC. For the past 2 years the aftercare has been absolutely abysmal. Waited 6 months last year for 1x window glass replacement and 10 trickle vent covers to be replaced. It is now another 6 Months since reporting another failed glass. Had 4 appointments for this to be replaced. First technician was ill and they rang on the day to inform me. The 2nd visit, he didn’t turn up at all. Phoned twice on the day - no joy. 3rd appointment they rang to say they didn’t have the replacement glass. 4th appointment, the technician brought the wrong size glass replacement . So we now have to go through it all again at some point in the distant future. In my opinion the 10 year guarantee is worth 5 years when you have to wait so long to get one problem sorted. When I first had the windows fitted in March 2015 the after service was excellent, but now it is horrendous. Such a shame.

I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to alert potential future clients of Anglian Windows of the shocking service we experienced. This will seem a long review but in no way reflects the protracted list of issues we experienced from start to finish over 14 months, however I will try to keep this succinct. We chose Anglian after several quotes and lots of research because of their assurance of “unparalleled levels of customer service” and quality of materials and workmanship. Regrettably, nothing could be further from the truth. We placed our order in May 2021 and a survey was completed in June, we scrutinised this and found it to be incorrect, the revised version was also incorrect so this took 3 attempts. The installation was delayed until Sept and during and after this a large number of snags were identified by both the fitters and ourselves. These included scratched windows with scuffed/chipped upvc frames; faulty locking mechanisms & handles; so called ‘easy-clean’ openers were almost impossible to budge; some windows badly fitted with twisted rubber seals and water pooling after first rainfall. The scaffolding was unsafe according to the fitters and I spent weeks scraping up silicone sealant from the perimeter of the house. We were asked to send comprehensive evidence including a list of all snags and images which took some time. We then spent the next couple of months chasing this up with little or no response, and finally got an engineer visit to rectify the faults in Nov 21, which unfortunately only rectified a few issues as the engineer had not been properly briefed and had forgotten the correct windows and parts to replace. This was followed by a further 4 failed engineer visits up to June 2022, all with equally similar experiences. Communication over this protracted period was shocking, I tried relentlessly to contact the NW branch, based in Stockport, the phone is never answered (I since learned the national team can never reach them either). After many e-mails and phone calls I escalated to the national customer support team who were very supportive, however the regional branch has full autonomy in handling their own complaints so when it goes wrong the national team are in effect powerless to intervene. At one stage I wrote a polite email to the NW branch expressing our disappointment and copied this to the Senior Customer Services manager, Director of Operations, and 11 other senior personnel and didn’t receive a single response from anyone. When I eventually reached a senior customer operations manager from NW branch, he told me in a rude manner he was too busy to deal with this and it was also proven on two occasions I was deliberately misled by this manager. This appears to be a culture which is deeply embedded within the NW branch of Anglian. I finally wrote to the CEO in Norwich and thankfully was contacted by their national lead for customer operations who was very helpful but also was unable to really expedite the protracted issues or resolve the problems. By now I had lost approx. £700 in lost salary taking time off for engineer visits (they say they can arrive anytime between 8am-5pm and normally arrive around 4pm if at all). I politely requested some compensation as this was entirely out of my control and they offered me £50 – I declined and chose to seek legal advice, after which they eventually offered £250 which I accepted in protest as I was completely exhausted with the whole experience. Even this was a shambles as they incorrectly completed a cheque which my bank invalidated, and Anglian didn’t even pay postage so I had to retrieve it from the Royal mail sorting office and pay their fees!...you just couldn’t write this!! The snags were finally completed almost 12 months after installation, after experiencing a year of significant stress, inconvenience and lost salary. Finally, if you do go ahead and trust the other reviews in Anglian’s glossy brochures (like we did) make sure you receive your FENSA certificate and guarantee, something else we had to chase up for months, not suprising given the appalling quality and shocking workmanship / customer operations from the NW branch. My advice…don’t consider this shambles of a firm for a single second!!!

We were extremely excited when we booked 3 windows and a front door to to be fitted with Anglian home improvements, especially as it was for our first home, so it meant a huge deal to us. Naturally I should of been put off when someone came to our house without invitation to sell windows, but I just by coincidence had been looking at windows & door quotes. So we had a salesman come over to tell us how incredible Anglians windows are, and how good the quality is. We fell for it. Unfortunately I can say with absolute certainty I would never, ever, deal with Anglian as a company ever again, never in a million years! The first issue was the glass got broken for our bathroom window when being installed, which got left smashed for over two months. This made the bathroom very cold. Secondly, when they tried to install the lounge window, the surveyor had unknowingly got the measurements wrong, and not only this but the installers didn't bother to check, so they went ahead and ripped out the old window, only to inform us 10 minutes later that they had to board it up. This for us was extremely stressful, a boarded up lounge was not only depressing and creepy, but freezing. It didn't help that the installers left pieces of plastic everywhere, empty tubes of sealant, and even a receipt for parts, all over our drive. They also forgot to foam in a window and left a gap, despite me saying "excuse me have you foamed this window?" And they said yes, which they hadn't and then returned two days later to foam it in. I tried not be too furious whilst calling them for an explanation or plan of action and apology as I know accidents happen especially with building type work, but it was very difficult to get through to anyone. After finally getting through to a manager, he explained that the installers has tried to blame the surveyor, I just wanted an apology and a plan of action to sort it out asap! I could only assume because of the absolute stress we had to go through and the increase in our energy bills due to having two rooms exposed, we would receive a discount. I tried to speak to a manager multiple times about this. They explained that Anglian flat out refuse to give any form of discounts, no matter the issue, unless it's an amount of £50 or so. This I found absolutely shocking and absurd considering the stress and issues they had caused us. Not only this, but two members of staff complained about the company to me down the phone! They've left foam marks around our window where it was boarded up the lounge window, which I still haven't managed to remove, which I find heart breaking to see. We have not received an official apology from the company in any shape or form. I emailed to the complaints team but they only tried to contact me once whilst I was in a work meeting. It also appears no departments speak to each other about what's happening, completely disjointed. Please spare yourself the upheaval and stress and go somewhere else. I've attached pictures of everything including the "good quality" we were promised.
