“I recently purchased a one-off prototype mini Fox in Dublin black. I've used it now for a couple of weeks and I love it. It's exactly the right size (small enough to be unobtrusive and secure in a pocket, but large enough to hold what I want), the workmanship and quality of the leather are excellent, the design in a bit different and very convenient and effective, and the wallet is very attractive in an understated and quiet way (which is what I want). It's outstanding.”

“I purchased two 'one-off' items - a vertical bugs moran with reverse interior, and a long wallet. The bugs wound up being an impulse buy, as a long wallet in shell cordovan is something I'd been searching for but hadn't found - until now. Both of them had EXACT pictures of the item. They were described well, photographed well, and there were no major surprises. One thing I didn't appreciate until I received my leather wallet was that the leather is tight and stiff. It takes a bit of time for it to stretch and be able to fit the items in them that the description says it can hold. This is particularly true for a credit card slot. You'll need to let the leather stretch out a bit to get cards in and out of these. This is not a design flaw, it's a feature. Shell cordovan is pretty thick and durable. It'll flex and stretch a bit with time and use, so it makes sense to have it be snug in the beginning and then break in.”

“I got the Johnny the Fox wallet for my 30 year old son for Christmas. He loved it!! I thought that 30 would be old enough to have such a nice wallet! But while traveling across a few states to get a boat, he set it on the trailer while fueling up, then drove off, never seeing his beloved wallet again. I just replaced it for his birthday. Maybe 31 is the age for such a wonderful, high-quality wallet! lol”

“I was happy to find Ashland Leather and to learn of their close relationship to Horween. I managed to find a #8 Shell Cordovan Johnny the Fox wallet in B-Stock. While still not inexpensive, I think the quality and craftsmanship are worth every penny. I'm (75) and retired, but still enjoy fine things when I can afford them. This beautiful wallet is a fine thing. My Horween Chromexcel boat shoes from Allen-Edmonds headed me to search for more Horween and now I proudly have Shell Cordovan, too. Thanks to Phil and all his people.”
