“This is about the 5th time I've stayed at the Aston Hotel in Dumfries and always return there. Such a welcoming hotel and staff are lovely and always there to please. A great place to relax surrounded by beautiful gardens in the grounds of the hotel. Not far from the town so can enjoy a lovely walk or just a bus ride away.”

One comment when we were there was the lighting in the restaurant. It didn't seem to go with the rest of the building but only a passing thought!! See you again definitely.

“Very good value for money. Bit hectic in the restaurant on Saturday as there was a wedding on which led to a delay on table availablility but staff were very pleasant in dealing with the issue. The attraction for us is the grounds. Its lovely to be able to have a long walk without leaving the hotel grounds.”
“We found our stay overall good, with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and in good decorative order. The only comment we would make is that perhaps the restaurant menu was perhaps not extensive enough in the choices it offered. However, the menu food available was well presented and of good quality. Would stay again, and in fact bringing eight friends to stay at the hotel in Dumfries whilst on a golfing break at the beginning of June.”
“Everything was OK some miss information. We had an early start and were told that the chef would be early and cook us breakfast. This was not so. The night porter actually made us toast and brought cereal and tea and coffee which I thought was really good as it was not his job. Room was comfortable and everything else was OK.”
