Esta compania is Basura , Ahorece el dolor de cabesa, Tiene otras opciones como United Airlines , Yo compre un ticket de ida y venida, y no pude salir por pasaporte vencido , 2 dias despues lo areigle y pude viajar, Cuando quise regresar ellos cancelaron my vuelo y me forsaron a comprar uno nuevo , el avion tenio mas de 20 sillas vacias, Mas de 5 horas de San Salvador a San Francisco y ni siquiera agua, esta es la pero compania, Nunca Nunca mas viajare con tigo ladrones , rateros , Coructos ,(Mire el video en youtube )

This company is Garbage , there are other options , you will regret flying with this company , I booked round trip from Seattel to El salvador , do to missing my departure , they cancel my returning trip and forced me to rebuy my ticket with over 20 empty seats on the plane , these said it all about this greedy company , over 5 hours flight from el salvador to san francisco and no snack or drinks ,

Avianca is the worst airline I've flown in my 40+ years of flying. I wish there were minus stars because they deserve less than even 1 star. Customer service is non existent once they have your money. They charge extra for everything even on board the flight (on a flight from San Francisco to Guatemala they didn't even provide a cup of water!!). The attendants were very rude. In one of our flights they destroyed one of our bags and we got the round around for about 6 months and we finally gave up on getting reimbursement!! We have flown Avianca (round trip) 3 different times but the last was the worst. STAY AWAY FROM AVIANCA NO MATTER HOW CHEAPER IT IS!! I communicated with Avianca representatives in person at the airport, by telephone and by email to no avail.

We had booked flight same day for a funeral. With over an hour prior to our flight we were told the flight closed, yet the person before us and group behind us who were on the same flight per my conversation with them were given their boarding passes. When I brought this up the Supervisor came over and then stated my mother would not make it as she uses a cane to walk and would require assistance. They discriminated her disability and given the extra help she would require rather than assisting given our special circumstances they refused to help and showed no empathy to my mothers tears as she mourned the loss of her sister. Horrible customer service do not recommend this airline.

Got straight up lied too. Changed my flights and had to pay extra $65 for my 2nd bag which I had already paid $40 for. They had problem processing payment over the phone and said don’t worry pay the $65 at the airport. At the airport now and they charging me $160. Flat out extortion

Avianca did not honker their Covid protocal for flights. We got stuck with them not rescheduling our flight and are now saying we lost our money. I will file a CC dispute showing evidence that they stole my money and also will post all the negative reviews in every single Platform , Yelp, Google, and so on.

I’d give 0 stars if I could. Long story short, this is a horrible airline to work with if you have a family emergency and need to make quick adjustments. I understand you can put things in writing where people purchasing economy airfare relinquish their ability to reschedule their flight without fees, but you’d think that a $422 one-way 6-hour flight pre-purchased 1.5 months ahead of time, made by someone who’s flown with you before, who has had a family emergency where their father had a heart attack and is undergoing life-saving surgery, you would morally think charging them $962 dollars in penalties to reschedule their flight to same day is a little heartless and unethical. (Bringing my grand total to $1,384). ESPECIALLY when there were open economy seats available on 3 flights leaving that same day. But no, I have to pay almost $1,000 in fees and penalties to upgrade myself to first class just to be able to change my flight since you treat S and XS ticket holders like trash. Icing on the cake is that you can clearly see on Google flights that it would only cost $600 for a one-way ticket if I’d wait 2 days to fly out. Their website is not user friendly, the customer hotline was very unhelpful, and I was told the supervisor didn’t have time to talk to me or there wasn't one available. My experience was similar when talking to the customer service department at the Managua Airport in Nicaragua and that a manager was unavailable. I was obviously pretty stressed and as a non-native Spanish speaker it was difficult to try and explain my situation in Spanish, but even when a bilingual American tried to help me they still weren’t willing to budge. Lastly their staff seems to be completely incompetent telling me I need to pay them $1200, when I can clearly do it online and get a result of $962 (still ridiculous). I highly recommend you choose another airline instead who would understand an emergency situation like this and not make it about squeezing you for over 300% of your original ticket price for a same-day flight.

I am from Canada Avianca is very bad company they suspended the flight for no reason they do not respect the customer with the connections I WILL. NEVER CHOOSE AVIANCA OR RECOMMEND NEVER NEVER

Compre un pasaje para mi hijo y un familiar; por situaciones de salud, el familiar no pudo viajar; queria cambiar su pasaje por el de otra persona, me comunique con ellos por todos los medios y fue lo peor, nunca me respondieron los correos electronicos, llame varias veces y me dejaban esperando hasta 4 horas; radicaron mi caso y nunca me dieron solucion; el servicio al cliente es todo un desastre

Horrendous cabin crew standards. Dishonest airline. Ripped me off for $30 in taxes and the only way I was allowed a refund was if i missed my next flight across Atlantic. The telephone operator told me I was an imbecile for not missing my flight. I wonder how many people they catch on this scam. An international budget airline that is still an overpriced joke. Not even suitable for transporting livestock.
